Scooch hangin’ out while Dog Trainer, Rosa cuts up some potatoes.

Scooch has come such a long way with his anxiety. He used to shake, whine, and pant whenever I put him in a down-stay in the kitchen. Now he relaxes and enters a zen state of mind in a heartbeat. Good job, buddy.

Breck the Great Dane is working on some reactivity he can have towards dogs.

Had an amazing session with Ava the German Shepherd today! Ava is one big heavy puller and very distracted with her surroundings. For just a young pup SHE IS STRONG! We can’t have her dragging her owners around so we had to teach her a proper leash walk. Leash walking is so important for a dog to learn because if gives them a job and teaches them how to ignore their surroundings and stay engaged with their handler. It also creates boundaries and establishes a healthy handler and dog relationship. 🐶

Maggie is using her place skills to control her impulses when it comes to her family being in the kitchen. She is a major countersurfer and likes to sneak away with some human goodies if given the chance. Implementing place will help teach Maggie boundaries as well as impulse control. Good job, Maggie ❤️

The Tone feature on the ECollar has many wonderful uses. I personally love to use it for engagement and introducing recall (coming when called)! ECollars have such a bad reputation from people whom have 1.) never used an Ecollar, 2.) never used an Ecollar correctly, 3.) are not properly educated on ECollars ECollars when educated and used correctly and ethically is one of the most humane tools to use to give clear communication to your dog. It also provides greater freedom for both your dog and for you! ECollars are truly a wonderful training tool to use, especially if you want to have an off-leash trained dog or build a better relationship with your dog. ❤️

Your dog should never looked scared when using an ecollar. Your dogs drive, energy, and goofy personality should not change when using an ecoller. When an ecollar is used correctly, your dog will want to happily work with you! As long as you stay consistent with your training and communication, your dog will look to your for guidance and would be more than ecstatic to work with you. 🐾 If I didn’t show the remote in this video, you probably wouldn’t have even known I was actively using it to help Gemini shape a behavior. 💚 ——————————— In this video, I’m conditioning Gemini to a “bring”/“hand it” for disc. Without this command, Gemini would take off past me or stop short to goof around with the disc (digging at it, chewing it, and rolling on it) He’s still allowed to do this, but there’s a time and a place for that. Not during a timed event. 😜 Eventually, the goal is for him to bring it consistently, wean off the ecollar, and bring it automatically or when prompted. ——————————— Happy Training! 🐾
