Simon’s family shared: “Simon is in an intro to Scentwork class. I know he was doing this with his previous owner, and he seems happy to be back at it.” Simon is from our 2016 litter
We wanted to share an update from Simon’s family. Simon came back to us in 2020 after his original owner experienced major health issues and moved to a nursing home. After some time with us, he found his new family in New York. He provides emotional support for one of his aging family members with dementia. Simon’s family shared: “Simon is in an intro to Scentwork class. I know he was doing this with his previous owner, and he seems happy to be back at it. [His aging family member] goes along but mainly holds Simon’s leash on the sidelines. [His] abilities have deteriorated dramatically. He often doesn’t know any of us, including Simon. But Simon always knows him and is incredibly attentive to him. God bless.” Simon is from our 2016 litter

An update from Johnny Walker’s family: “Another Piccolo’s Poodles Water Dog in the works. Little Johnnie Walker sort of took to it like a duck to water. We had such fun. Can’t wait to go back!” Johnny Walker Is from our October 2023 litter
An update from Johnny Walker’s family: “Another Piccolo’s Poodles Water Dog in the works. I took Deacon, Cheers! and Johnnie Walker camping in the George Washington National Forest this past week.
The idea was to expand Johnnie Walker’s world view. We watched big people, little people, tiny people in strollers and lots of well-mannered and leashed dogs. There were kayaks, paddle boards, motorcycles, bicycles, and golf carts all around us. So very much to look at. And, best of all, there was a beautiful lake outside of the swimming area. It had a gentle sloping entry and a firm bottom and it was just a perfect introduction for a puppy.
Actually, I don’t think he needed an introduction. Little Johnnie Walker sort of took to it like a duck to water. I brought along his favorite quail dokken and a long line and he was literally off and running. Once I escorted him out to a deeper spot and he swam quite nicely. But mainly he just ignored the water, had fun and never lost sight of his little quail. Best was that his retrieve held up beautifully and being wet was just a non issue. We had such fun. Can’t wait to go back!”

Phreyja is doing good with her dock diving training. She visited a new pool to use the ramp to build confidence entering the water. She’s 14 months old

Phreyja and Phoebe enjoyed swimming and retrieving their ball in the Gunpowder Falls River. Phreyja is still building confidence in water so it’s always nice to go along with a confident friend who loves the water like Phoebe.

We even saw the resident beaver going about his busy day 🦫 Phoebe is a natural water dog only…she doesn’t like clear pool water but she absolutely loves natural lake water so we try to go once or twice a year. Unfortunately that means she can’t enjoy swimming after 7/1 because of cyanobacteria bloom risks. Phreyja is still building confidence in water so it’s always nice to go along with a confident friend who loves the water. It was her first experience with natural water. By the end of the outing, Phreyja was going chest deep in the water to retrieve the ball. Phreyja is 14 months old, and Phoebe is 5.5 years old
