Just a friendly reminder- Please check all appliances before running after bringing home your new kittens! Yesterday, my daughter pointed out a kitten behind the dishwasher rack that must’ve snuck in while I was loading the dishwasher!
They are mischievous and they’re into everything! Do not feel guilty about putting them in a room with the door closed, or a crate or pen if you need kitten free time! Just like children, we have to set boundaries with our animals, And just like people, we teach them how to treat us! If you have an animal that walks all over you(literally or figuratively), it’s because you let them walk all over you. I encourage setting healthy boundaries from the time you bring your Kitten home on through their adult life.
If you don’t like them near the dinner table or jumping in the clean laundry basket, set boundaries and put the cat in the bathroom or put the cat its box during those activities. I had a male cat that jumped up onto the dinner table, stole a chicken leg off my husbands plate, and ran off with it(then proceeded to growl viciously at whoever tried to take the food away). That didn’t happen again because we quickly learned that that cat was not allowed to be out during meals! Do not feel guilty setting boundaries, we encourage it. Like children, we need to set boundaries because they will take a mile if you give an inch. I had a cat that used to jump in the refrigerator. I closed them in the refrigerator once not knowing they were in there!
You can be a cat lover, and still need personal space! Start teaching your animal what your boundaries are day one! What might be cute as a 3 pound Kitten is not going to be cute if they’re a 14-20lb+ long haired cat.

Lorenzo has to stay separated, so we don’t have any accidental litters. This is pre-grooming and cleaning yesterday so please excuse my chore clothes and litter all over the floor.

I was given permission to post this video. This is a blue tabby male with high white from Babette and Percy’s first litter.
He is just over a year old, and is a personal favorite of mine. His colors turned out very intense and unique. The blue and white kitten from our current litter is reserved.
