Where do you start with a shy/nervous dog? Stillness. Dogs rely very heavily on predictability, so much so that it affects their confidence. Showing a dog that your actions and behaviors are predictable, consistent, and not overstimulating will help them to settle in that much faster.

The ghost in my house (and Queen apparently) has something to say so listen UP!!! We always hear dog lovers say, "it's the owner, not the breed!" usually in reference to breeds that people deem inherently dangerous like pit bulls, rottweilers, Staffordshire terriers, etc. But will you say the about the quote "ankle biters"? The Chihuahuas, shih tzus, Maltese.... ponder it

This is a question I often ask myself. What kind of dog would I have if I hadn't made training a priority? I know for a fact that she'd still have her goofy personality but...

🤔 Would she trust us as much? Probably not.

🖇️What would our bond look like? Probably disconnected because Queen can be quite the independent thinker.

✈️ Would she enjoy going places? Unlikely due to the fact that everything used to spook her into locking up and refusing to move forward.

Every day I am grateful (and amazed) for the time investment I put into this dog because look at where we are 🤩 Changing lives and experiencing life together as a family.
