Practice makes perfect ✨
One of Hank’s board and train goals was to go home with better impulse control. We started “place” on day one with the hope of transitioning this new skill back home to allow Hank and his family to both have relaxation time together without worry of Hank pushing boundaries.
We were so proud driving up to Hank’s house this morning and seeing his family smiling behind him as he stayed happily while Jordan & I walked up.
Clarity in your dog’s training is… well it’s everything. Our goal was to generalize Hank’s understanding of “place” and keep our expectations clear and fair for him. Having a family that is so dedicated to setting him up for success and who was continuing training before we even got back to his house today is about as good as it gets in our book.
Thank you @adam_hagerman for trusting us with this sweet boy the past two weeks. We are already looking forward to his maintenance sessions!
