Wanted to also post a reminder: Please don't hesitate or feel bad for needing to reschedule due to weather. I would MUCH rather move appointments to a different, safer day vs having clients on the road when it's dangerous.
This time of year I generally keep a day open for weather related cancellations. 😊
Safety is number 1.

As we begin wrapping up 2023, I just want to give a heartfelt Thank You to each and everyone of my incredible clients for trusting me with the care of their amazing fur babies. I'm sure many are aware of this new illness that is affecting dogs around the country.
Vets in our local area have yet to see it but sadly it has officially hit Des Moines.
Due to the fact it has been fatal in some cases, I kindly ask that no dogs come to be groomed within a 14 day period after being boarded or traveling.
If your dog is displaying any symptoms similar to Kennel Cough please reschedule until your dog is completely symptom free.
Its something to be mindful about when out and about with our 4 legged family members.
We can work together to help protect our own pets as well as others.

It's that time of year!
Temps are dropping and these nasty critters are desperate for a host.
Flea and Tick prevention is so important.
Please make sure your pups are current on their preventative.

Around the neck is also a Yellow Zone.
A metal comb that can go from skin (root) to the ends of the hair is most important.
Other brushes only brush the top layer of hair, not to the skin.

If you have a grooming appointment scheduled with me and don't call and don't show for your appointment time there will be a charge of half the original grooming appointment due to book your next appointment.
I sincerely apologize but have had so very many no shows for appointments repeatedly.

Highway 3 is under construction from East Park to out past the hospital and is expected to be under construction for quite awhile.
Please expect delays when picking up and dropping off your pups for their grooms.
I am completely understanding if you're late for our appointment but dont want to make you late for work or other appointments.

A Friendly Reminder:
Fleas are BAD this time of year.
They want to get on your pet before the temps drop.
PLEASE keep your pets up to date on flea/tick treatment.
☆ Unfortunately if I find fleas on your dog(s) during grooming, there is an extra fee for me to use product to exterminate what's on your dog(s) as well as treating the salon to prevent them from hitching home with anyone else.
☆ I do not offer any type of flea dips or flea treatments. My recommendation is flea medication from your vet.
