More progress was made on the pollinator project at Bluebird Gap Farm today! Next is putting down cardboard and mulch. Thanks to Melinda, Gayle, Al and Adam for working in the heat to get the plants in and watered!

We’re prepping for this weekend’s Bluebird Gap Farm Fall Festival! While the park will be closed today for festival set-up, we hope you will plan to join us Saturday & Sunday, 10am-5pm, for hay rides, punkin’ chunkin’, farm-themed games & prizes, a giant straw maze, live entertainment, a pumpkin patch, crafters with homemade items, food vendors selling BBQ, fresh grilled corn on the cob, funnel cakes, coffee, kettle korn, and more! Admission is free, and the weather looks great all weekend!

The BBGF Fall Festival is back this year Oct 21-22nd 10-5. We will be closed to the public Friday Oct 20th for Prep and Monday Oct 23rd for cleanup.

We are so very proud of our PCU John F. Kennedy - CVN 79 volunteer group!

We have done some great and strenuous work together but they always keep it fun and purposeful!

Today we are celebrating PCU John F. Kennedy - CVN 79, our 2023 Community Military Honoree! This aircraft carrier and her sailors is truly connected to our Hampton Roads community.

Hundreds and hundreds of sailors have given their time to serving organizations through the ship’s partnerships with the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, Norfolk Botanical Garden, Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads, Inc., and Bluebird Gap Farm along with countless hours served by individual sailors at organizations across the region.
