We had a good weekend running dogs up in Emporia VA to end the winter training season on a positive note. Angus earned his senior title (owned by Elizabeth and Jim Jones), Winnie earned her Junior title (owned by Linda Barr), Auggie earned his Junior title (owned by Wendy Smyth and Dan Briggs). Kellie Page ran her own dog Zulu and earned her first Junior pass. Zulu is owner trained with a little guidance from VRK. Special thanks to Eddie and Debbie Lee and Kellie for helping this past weekend. Congrats to all the owners and a special thank you to everyone who helped make this winter trip a success. Now back to summer grounds in Minnesota.

It was a wet weekend at Cooper Black in SC but dogs did a nice job. Lucy earned her 1st master pass, Ducky earned her junior title, Tango earned his junior title, Winnie earned 2 junior passes and Auggie earned 2 junior passes. Congrats to all the owners and a big shout out to Eddie, Debbie and Kellie for all there help this weekend.

The VRK handlers workshop was held this past Saturday at the Merritt farm in Jackson Springs NC. Lots of good dog work. Hopefully everyone walked away with some ideas. Thanks you to the Tarheel Golden Retriever Club for hosting this event.

Tillie ran in a Qualifying trial at Cape Fear Retriever Club in Watha NC. 38 dogs started and 7 dogs finished in the pouring rain today and Tillie was one of the 7 and finished with a JAM. Congrats to owner Kellie Page and thank you for trusting VRK with your star athlete.

Busy summer with some good dogs. We did the trifecta this summer running Field Trials, Hunt Test and WC/WCX. We had dogs just starting, dogs working to achieve their title,dogs earning titles and dogs making the jump up in levels. A lot of work and a lot of fun. We couldn't have done it without having good owners and to them I say a big thank you. Now preparing for Winter training...

We competed in a double 100 dog master only test at Southern Minnesota Retriever Club locsted in Blooming Prairie. Tillie needed one more pass to earn her Master Title and Lumi needed two more for her Master Title and both dogs did an awesome job and are now Master Hunters. Congratulations to owners Kellie Page (Tillie) and Cory and Sharie Feistner (Lumi).
