This little asphalt het paint missed the memo that the paint gene makes good eaters. She’s been refusing to eat on her own, so she had to be assist fed for her first meal. Once that rodent was in her mouth though she knew exactly what to do! Fingers crossed she gets with the program and starts eating on her own soon!

5 years ago I decided to breed ball pythons all because I wanted to make a Batman. It was my goal animal. I refused to buy one because I wanted to make my own. Yet somehow, the pairing to make one didn’t come to fruition until this year.

Today, I finally hit one.

They might not be the coolest thing anymore but this thing still looks amazing. And sometimes it’s not about being the best or most amazing. Sometimes it’s just about reaching a goal you set for yourself.

Unfortunately it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Started this clutch with 9 eggs. 1 went bad, I believe due to water dripping on it in the egg box. And today I decided to cut the last egg that hadn’t pipped, and the baby was dead in the egg. No tangled umbilical cord, no obvious deformities. Sometimes s**t just happens.
