SETICA lost a great friend on Saturday. Larry Windham pasted away and there will be a memorial service at Broussard's on Major Drive on Friday, March 1st at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has ask a donation be sent to the Larry Windham Memorial Scholarship to be given in November. The donation can be sent to SETICA at P O Box 146, Hamshire, Texas 77622

Applications are open for our Rural Veterinary Scholarship. It’s open to second-year and third-year veterinary students who plan to enter a rural and/or food animal practice in Texas after graduation. Four scholarships valued at $10,000 each will be awarded.

It's that time again! The Southeast Texas ICA Chapter is accepting applications from High School Seniors graduating from a high school within Chambers, Hardin, Galveston, Jefferson, Liberty, or Orange Counties. Four -- $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating High School Seniors who are enrolled as a full time student.

A. Priority will be given to students whose parents, grandparents or guardians are current SETICA members for two consecutive years prior to the date of this application deadline. These applicants may attend any college of their choosing and enroll in any degree program. Applicant must meet the regular admission requirements of an accredited college of their choice (junior colleges included).

B. Further consideration will be given to FFA or 4-H Member planning to major in an agriculture-related field.

Please e-mail [email protected] if your school, 4H, or FFA group does not have the application. The deadline for applications to be postmarked is April 12, 2024.

Your SETICA Drawdown Committee is working tirelessly to make October 22nd a night you will enjoy. Past ticket holders should have received their letters asking if they would like to purchase their ticket for the 31st Annual Drawdown Fundraiser. Any of my ICA family have box 1 - 250 of the ping pong balls? We went to the building to get them today and not there. I have checked with Brad Crone and Sherry Devillier if anyone has any other idea from EC Operation Graduation. thanks Debbie

We mailed a letter but it looks like it has not arrived in many mailboxes. The Winnie Stowell Community building flooded. The Drawdown is not canceled but will be re-scheduled.
