Happy Fourth of July!!!

Here are some tips -
*make sure to update all microchip/tag info
* Make sure all of your pets are in a secure & safe location
* play music or turn tv on to help drown out fireworks
*make sure to give any medication or calming treats early in the day!!!

✨It’s that time of the year again! ✨
Kitten season is getting started here in Kings County, and it’s no secret that we all struggle with the overwhelming amount of kittens we come across. 🐈🐈‍⬛ Unfortunately, there are simply more kittens out there this time of the year than resources available. We want to help make things just a tad bit easier for when you come across kittens this year. For those of you who have ever had an interest in learning or just curious on what you can do to help your local shelter and rescues, we are offering another 🍼 🐱Kitten Bottle Feeding class this year.

🐾 Calling all animal lovers! 🐾

We're reaching out for your support! Our shelter has recently welcomed an influx of adorable puppies, and we're in need of soft blankets to provide them with comfort during their stay with us. Any spare blankets you have lying around would make a world of difference to these little ones!

Additionally, if you have any spare bathroom mats, our larger furry friends absolutely adore them. They provide a sturdy and cozy spot for our big dogs to rest on.

Your donations, big or small, will be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and for helping us make our shelter a warm and welcoming place for all our furry friends. 🐶💕

Tomorrow is our vaccine clinic, and we want to stress the importance of getting your pet vaccinated.

Vaccines are just a fraction of the cost of the medication, treatment, and vet bills associated with identifying and curing serious illness. With all the advances in pet care these days, many diseases are fully preventable with a yearly vaccine. Without the vaccine, there is a chance of your pet contracting one of those diseases with serious and deadly consequences. Vaccines very much save lives!

Our clinic is drive thru only, and we will be offering Rabies vaccines and distemper/parvo vaccines for $10. If your dog is not microchipped, we are giving those out for free. We will be at the shelter from 4-6pm.

Two more days until our vaccine clinic on March 21st, and we want to stress the importance of getting your pet vaccinated.

Puppies under 6 months have an incomplete immune system. They are HIGHLY susceptible to deadly diseases like parvo because they do not have the same protection adult dogs have. Vaccines are so important in the first stages of life to give those youngsters the best chance for a long, healthy life!

Our clinic is drive thru only, and we will be offering Rabies vaccines and distemper/parvo vaccines for $10. If your dog is not microchipped, we are giving those out for free. We will be at the shelter from 4-6pm.

As we count down to our vaccine clinic on March 21st, we want to stress the importance of getting your pet vaccinated.

Same as people, pets need to be vaccinated to help prevent them from getting gravely ill. There are vaccines for parvo, upper respiratory diseases, lyme disease, rabies, and many more - all of which can lead to serious illness and death.

We understand the frustration with appointment availability. Despite a staffing shortage, our commitment to our cat spay and neuter program remains a priority. Please bear with us as we navigate challenges. Appointments are limited to 20 per week, appointments open every Tuesday and fill up quickly. Once appointments are filled for the week you will have to wait until the following Tuesday to make an appointment. Your patience is appreciated.

For quicker options, consider HOPE Animal Foundation in Fresno or Valley Oak SPCA Spay and Neuter Clinic in Visalia for low-cost alternatives. Your regular veterinarian is also an option.
