Hannacroix Kennels

Hannacroix Kennels We board dogs and cats. Let us care for your fur babies while you are away. Tours are conducted on weekends, by appointment only.

Here are some things that you need to know about boarding at Hannacroix Kennels:

***OUR SETTING***
*We offer spacious outdoor runs and indoor pens in a beautiful, peaceful, country setting and we are located 1.4 miles from a Veterinary hospital.
*There are ducks, chickens, roosters, turkeys, Canada Geese, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, fox and deer that frequent the kennel grounds. The dogs hav

e a great time seeing all of the wildlife.

***REQUIREMENTS TO BOARD***
*Reservations are required. Pets are dropped off and picked up, at a specific time, during kennel hours and by appointment only.
*Proof of vaccinations are required and the shot record should be sent to this FB page via Messenger as a photo and not a PDF file. Boarding is NOT finalized until we receive the shot record and all immunizations are up to date (UTD).
*Dogs must be UTD on rabies, parvo/distemper and bordatella and must be "flea free" to board, using VET APPROVED flea and tick products. Pets with signs of fleas will not be permitted to board.
*Cats must be UTD on rabies and FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia) and "flea free" to board, using VET APPROVED flea and tick products. Pets with signs of fleas will not be permitted to board.
*Elderly pets and/or pets with medical conditions must be healthy enough to board and we may require that you check with your Veterinarian prior to being able to finalize their boarding reservation.
*Please let us know if your pet has experienced any changes in their health, behavior or feeding routine since the last time they boarded with us so we are aware of your pets needs.
*Please let us know if your pet is experiencing any respiratory symptoms (ie: coughing, sneezing, runny eyes or nose), PRIOR to boarding, so we can determine if they are healthy enough to board.
*Dry pet food should be brought in sturdy containers with a lid and not in ziplocks or the original bag the pet food came in. If you are bringing a large amount of dry pet food, please bring it in a metal container.
*A non-refundable deposit, that will be applied to and deducted from your boarding total, may be required to hold a pen(s) for your pet.

***WHAT WE PROVIDE to our boarding fur babies***
*We provide bowls (so you don’t need to bring any unless it’s a special bowl that your pet needs to eat from).
*We will provide the kennel diet, for an additional fee, if that's the owner's preference or if your pet needs to be fed the kennel diet during their stay (ie: if we need to entice your pet to eat, or if they ran out of their food, etc). The fee is on a sliding scale, is based on the size of your dog and will be added to your pet's board rate for the day.
*We provide "pill pockets", a pill cutter, and a pill crusher for any pets that require medication/supplements (for an additional fee).
*We provide crunchy and chewy treats for dogs and cats (and of course we offer catnip for the kitties) but please feel free to bring their favorite snacks from home so they have something familiar that they love to eat.
*We provide Kuranda beds for dogs and kitty beds for cats, so they are comfy during their stay (however, not all pets will choose to use them). Please feel free to bring their doggy or kitty beds so they have something familiar from home with your scent on it.
*We provide blankets for the dogs and cats so they are comfy during their stay (if they won't "blow them up".) Please feel free to bring something with your scent on it like a t-shirt, blanket or towel so they have something familiar that reminds them of you and of home.
*We have toys and Kongs for the dogs and toys for the kitties but feel free to bring their favorite chewy bones or toys, so they have something familiar from home. We do ask that you please don’t bring any rawhide or rope toys.
*We provide a fridge for any refrigerated medications and/or pet food.
*PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to return whatever you sent but sometimes things get forgotten. If that happens, we will call you and leave the item in a bag, with your pet's name on it, and place it on the front door to the kennel office. And sometimes, dogs may “blow up” their beds, toys and/or blankets so we'll just dispose of item(s).

***OTHER SERVICES WE OFFER***
*DOG WALKING: Let us know if you would like us to walk your dog, for an additional fee.
*MEDICATION/SUPPLEMENTS ADMINISTRATION: If your pet requires any medication(s) or supplements, this can be provided to them, for an additional fee per dose. We provide "pill pockets", a pill cutter, and a pill crusher for any pets that require medication/supplements.

***TOURS***
*We would be happy to give you a tour. Please bring your dog(s) and/or cat(s) to the tour because we love meeting them, it’s comforting for them to meet us, it's comforting for them to get a sense of the sights, sounds, smells of the kennel and for us to get a sense of their interactions with us and other dogs. Please call or reach out to us on the Kennel FB page, via FB Messenger, to set up a tour.

***METHODS OF PAYMENT***
*We DO NOT accept credit cards, at this time. We don't want to pay a fee and we don't want to pass along a fee to our customers. We accept checks and cash payments. We try our very best to keep prices and fees low however, prices and fees are subject to change without notice.

***GIFT CERTIFICATES***
We offer gift certificates. They make the perfect gift for any pet owner.

**WINTER BREAK***
*The kennel closes for a Winter Break. The Winter Break dates may vary but we will post them to the kennel FB page and add it to the outgoing phone greeting once the Winter Break dates are determined.
*During our Winter Break, the best way to reach us is via
FB Messenger.
