Drone Storytime with Dallas.

I had just gotten home one night, when I got a call one from a relative of my wife's friend. A dog took off at an unplanned timed, got hit by a car in the process and beat it out of sight. Family and friends had spent hours searching, scouring and calling, but to no avail. After a phone conversation and gleaning as many details as I could prior, I packed up the truck and headed north.

Once I arrived, we came up with a plan on where we wanted to start searching, and within 10-15 minutes of the drone being in the air, we found him all tucked up under some brush. I kept the drone in the air and used the spotlight to guide the family into the dog.

The dog was doing good and very much delighted to see his family. He was taken to the vet and was given a positive bill of health.
I packed up the truck and headed home. Crawled into bed at 5:30AM and back up for work at 6:30AM.
(is that what they call a cat nap? 😂🐱)

Every story is unique.
Every piece special.
It's always the best feeling when a missing pet shows up on my big screen, and every time I'm thankful for the priceless technology of this thermal drone!!!!

I took the children to Ford Nationals in Carlisle yesterday. I brought the big camera along for some pictures. The children love the drift track. I'll have the pictures in my stories.

A picture is sometimes worth more than a thousand words!

This beauty had been missing for about 24 hours with her chain attached.
I was able to find her in about a half hour, all caught up and not going anywhere.
Needless to say, she was quite pleased when she got back, and I have the sweetest video of her all excited and loving up on her owner. 😂💜

What a happy first flight back in the saddle. The last two months, I've been laid up, on crutches, and the drone has stayed grounded, due to a Lyme flair-up that I haven't had in 5+ years.

It was the very best feeling,
being up in the air, doing what I love, and reuniting this dog back home with its family!
Grateful to be up and at em again! 🔥

"When a tree falls over at an inopportune time."

The owners had done their due diligence when it came to doing all the things for their lost dog, but he didn't turn up.
Friends and family had spent time searching, but still no Winston.
With him being startled, it being cold, and so many people searching for him, I had a hunch the dog was tucked up tight and hadn't made a peep when people passed by his hiding spot.
Dogs are just smart like that, and that's what happened.

It was a cold and windy night when I headed out on the call,
and it was a loud Dallas, when we finally caught sight of that cute, little, dog all tucked up under a log, with only his nose and tail sticking out.
No words in the world to describe how one feels, when you finally catch sight of what's been searched so hard for!

This video has been long in coming.

We got back from a great trip to the WNC mountains. Helping out at the Blessing Project, delivering hundreds of pounds of frozen venison to families in the mountains and cleaning up a sweet elderly lady's property who lost her home. We are going to continue working on some fun projects down here. There is so much work to be done.

The old Yukon is making another trip south this weekend. The trailer is loaded with supplies for some homesteading communities that got wiped out, quilts my grandma made, other needed items, and we got 600 bottles of wellness products from a family owned, PA business that our family has loved and used for years. Shout out to Natural Hope Herbals.

And my personal favorite.
One of the guys I did a herd analysis for, offered me venison. So thanks to the generosity of him and the man that owns the butcher shop, I have 300+ lb of frozen venison in prepackaged 1 lb bags to hand out to families in need, that rely on this for food. So excited to get this deer meat in people's hands!

I'll also be doing some drone work and mapping while in the area.
