We would like to welcome two new boarders to Four Winds Farm
In Hanover. The handsome dark bay, Atlas- owned by Brianna came in Saturday. Also the adorable gray, Sebastian- owned by Wendy came in on the 17th. They have both settled in wonderful and thrilled to have them part of our farm family!

Our 13 year old baby Valdis from Four Winds Farm went to her new loving home and what I know will be a great partnership. I am so thankful they found each other. It is always bittersweet but knowing where she went warms my heart.

It has been 14 years today since I lost my best friend, female soulmate. We shared the joy of horses and Jesus. Her life was taken way too early from pancreatic cancer. Time has certainly softened the pain and gratefully I am left with the most incredible memories.

And on the heels of an amazing graduation ceremony we woke up to twin lambs being born. Mary gave birth to healthy girls, Maggie and Mabel. My heart keeps growing more full.

And the newest little nugget was born yesterday. One more to go and lambing will be done. So far all ram lambs.

And 6 days after Winston was born, Four Winds Farm welcomes Wesley. I went out to do the night feed for the sheep and there he was standing in the herd. Now they are together bonding in a stall.

Sheep shearing day at Four Winds Farm. Next step, skirting and cleaning the wool before it gets processed. Then I start spinning and making yarn before I knit. If anyone wants to know why hand knit items are more expensive, well that is the reason. A labor of love for sure. 🐑

Looking back at this wonderful experience at the farm. Fjola from Four Winds Farm was used in the photo shoot at only 2 years old. She had a great mind and temperament and that has never changed. Expecting a full sibling to Fjola in June.
