With Fall quickly approaching, it seems fitting that our new barn kitties should have names to go along with the change in seasons. And so without further ado, we present Punkin’ Chunkin’ and Spice Chai Latte; Pumpkin and Spice for short. Don’t forget to say hello to them next time you visit! We love our spicy redheads.

What a fun day at By Chance Farm!

Makenna kicked us off with a fantastic leadline ride on Mona for a whopping 75% and first place. The judge commented on her lovely position, clear aids and brilliant smile. This young equestrian has a bright future for sure! She then spent some time as assistant trainer helping Paige to warm up for her tests and standing ringside during Paige’s ride. Well done Makenna!

Paige followed next with two great rides on Mona qualifying for the championship show at Intro B and earning one qualifying score at training by level. Her ride on Davis was also impressive logging another qualifying score. Two first place ribbons were very well earned! She nearly earned the blue ribbon trifecta, but did come home with one second place ribbon just behind….Dan! Well done Paige! Looks like we’ll have some options for the Fall championships.

As many of you know, Dan lost a bet and was tasked with riding after Paige earned a 70% at an earlier show. With just a few practice rides behind him, Dan donned his white britches and like the trooper he his piloted Davis through a darn good Intro B test. His score - over 72% with an 8.5 for his final centerline and halt. Our judge and the By Chance crew got a giggle once they learned of the bet and applauded Dan for his ride. A few were certainly nudging for a show ring return in the Championship, but for now Dan is hanging up his boots and enjoying his very well earned blue ribbon.

Well done team! Our Legato riders not only had a blast but came home undefeated. Until next time…
