Happy Valentine’s Day from all of our horses and ponies at Legato Farm! Our herd feels the love every day working with our riders…being gifted with carrots, cookies, and other treats, and doted on with scratches and snuggles before and after every lesson. While the winter months have brought its fair share of challenges with weather and illness, we have been fortunate to still do quite a bit of riding. It has been a time of preparation and anticipation for the spring and summer months for many students, achieving goals and setting new ones…all the while having fun doing it. We have lots to look forward to as we will again host a spring and fall schooling show on the farm in 2025 and will be hitting the circuit of off farm shows with students to test and display their skills and partnerships. Think Spring everyone and thank you for all the love you have shared in our amazing community of riders!
Wishing all of our Legato Farm friends and family a very merry holiday season!
Keeping the Halloween fun going with our adult riders last evening. Such a fun group of ladies who put our ponies through their paces with dressage tests to music, spooky riding dares and costumes of course!
Our Legato team is celebrating Fall with many exciting events with our equine partners. This weekend took us to a schooling show with Paige, Avery and Leah piloting Mona and Davis through several classes.
Paige, the fabulous Ms. Fox, kicked it off riding two solid tests with Mona earning first and second place ribbons for their efforts. Super proud of Paige who kept Mona on task despite her best efforts to visit the judge at C instead of completing her test. Well done!
Despite a challenging warm up, Avery encouraged Davis to complete two very mature tests also earning a first and second place for their efforts. Awesome job cowgirl!
Last but not least, Leah policed Mona through the final two tests of the day. Despite a few bobbles in the walk tour, this team performed beautifully showing off the partnership this team has crafted over the past several months. Red and yellow ribbons were a nice finishing touch to end the day. Well done team!
Natalya and Iris were also the winners of our trot pole challenge going 8 rounds and trotting through 8 poles without having a hoof touch a single pole. Way to go girls!
