CHUNK MEEDS A NEW HOME ASAP NO CATS
PLEASE
This boy has been through a whole lot and it’s not fair to him. The first time he was at the shelter he was found as a stray rummaging through a landfill where he was probably dumped. He is a sweet boy but he’s a big boy. He just needs someone to take a chance on him and love him, can that person be you? Please message us if you’re interested.

Not sure how many of you remember Chunk he was here at the shelter, not that long ago and was urgent and here on his last day he was saved by a lady who wanted to temporary foster him when no one else stepped up please no bashing. Can we please share this sweetheart he is a great dog just no cats for him, please share and he is a big beautiful dog

🚨🚨🚨URGENT🚨🚨🚨

This is Chunk. I rescued him from Rowan County with a little less than an hour left before he was scheduled to be put down. With the help of an incredible temporary foster, we saved him. However, he needs to find a new foster or adopter ASAP. He was found wandering a land fill looking for food💔

- 90 pounds of pure love
- knows basic commands
- does well in the crate
- house trained
- snuggle bug!
- NO cats! Will chase!
- Did well with resident dog after very slow introductions (over 2 weeks to allow decompression)
- Neutered

I have reached out to over 10 rescues and have received NO responses! We are this boys only chance!

He is currently in a home with cats and has made several attempts to go after them. For the safety of the fosters residents cats, we need to find a solution now. The foster said he did so well with her female dog (after very slow introductions) and even let her be alpha while he was being submissive! He has not been tested with children yet however, he is a gentle giant. This boy deserves a family who can love and nurture him. He is truly a special one 😢

Meet King an estimated two-year-old Rottweiler
He was roaming the neighborhood as a stray sadly no Owner has come for him. He is a big beautiful boy he’s 100 pounds. He is heartworm negative and he has also been neutered by the Shelter vet so he is now ready for his new home.
He was found on Winfield Street in Kannapolis

UPDATE RESCUED❤️

URGENT LAST DAY IS 10/15/24
Meet Layla she was surrendered by her family due to behavior! She is now Rescue only! She is at three year-old terrier mix

Layla – She was reactive when she was first brought in, and would not let anyone get near her kennel. After some time with staff working with her, she has come around and really likes us, people she is familiar with. She can sometimes still be people selective, very warm with some people, but barking at others. I would be the same way in a loud scary shelter!
She was diagnosed with kennel cough recently poor girl!
She is on a smaller size we think maybe in the high 30s pounds wise! Sure hope they fostering rescue will step up to help her because she deserves it so wish some families would find a solution to help some of these dogs instead of just surrendering them!

URGENT LAST DAY IS 9/23/24
Meet precious Emma she is a 10 month old pittie mix that came in as a stray with another pup named Ava that has since been adopted Emma is heartworm positive, but has been treated by the shelter that she also has already been spayed and she is now waiting for her forever home she is just a puppy and she is as cute as can be. Please come to meet her today. The shelter is full again.
