Just a reminder we are collecting unopened bags of dog and cat food (no larger than 8lbs) for our fundraiser this month to help feed local animals in need. 🐾

JANUARY RAFFLE BASKET BENEFITS:

YORK/ADAMS PET FEEDING PANTRY INITIATIVE
This month, we’re thrilled to collaborate with a dedicated group of volunteers to provide animal food to local food pantries, ensuring that pets in our community have access to the nourishment they need. Clearview will be accepting donations of unopened dog and cat food (bags under 8 pounds), as well as new or gently used leashes and collars for both dogs and cats. These items will be distributed to pets in need, offering vital support to families and their furry companions.
We’re also excited to host a raffle basket fundraiser this month to support their ongoing efforts. We also strongly encourage everyone to contribute to their local food pantries by donating both human and pet food items. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in the lives of families and their beloved pets in our community. Thank you for helping us create a brighter future for all!

THROWBACK THURSDAY

Dr. Fillmore underscores that a pet’s care does not end after a veterinary visit; owners must actively participate in their recovery by following medical instructions, administering medication as prescribed, and monitoring food, water intake, and physical activity. He stresses the importance of limiting exercise according to the veterinarian’s advice to avoid setbacks. Ultimately, caring for a recovering pet is a partnership between the owner and the veterinarian, requiring vigilance, compassion, and proper follow-up care to ensure the animal’s health and well-being.

THROWBACK THURSDAY

Dr. Fillmore discusses the topic of acquiring a new pet after the loss of another in this December 2, 1982 article from the Hanover Evening Sun. This is a topic we often are asked about. There is no right or wrong answer. Dr. Fillmore said “by acquiring another the act itself is the highest compliment.”

There are several rescues with ranges in age, activity level and size and we encourage anyone looking to check out our local rescues. Good Old Tails Rescue, Operation Paws for Homes, Heavenly Paws, Forever Love Rescue, York County SPCA, Adams County SPCA and ACKCS Cavalier Rescue are a few to start with.

The holiday season is in full swing!

Come help us celebrate and help support the Hanover Historical Society at their annual Christmas Tree Tour at the Warehime Mansion.

Our very own Vet Assistant Mike will be playing piano at the mansion today (12/1) from 2 to 7. He would love to see everyone there!

We have a Clearview Animal Hospital Tree hidden among the 50+ trees decorating the mansion featuring ornaments made by some of our awesome clients. See if you can find a pet that you recognize!😁🎅

Check out the link for ticket info and tour times.

Thanks to everyone who contributed ornaments - it makes the tree even more special❤️
