Extreme Vertical Workshops
2 hour workshop, $80/dog, max 6 dogs

This 2-hour workshop will introduce you and your dog to the dock diving discipline of Extreme Vertical (EV). In EV a bumper is suspended 8 feet out from the dock and starting at 4’6” goes up 2” after each successful grab. The game is how high can your dog go! Dogs who are already competing in EV who want to work on striding or other skills are welcome to attend as well! Dogs should be already jumping off the dock with no assistance for this workshop.

Starting Saturdays July 6th
Puppy Swim Group Class!
4 week class, limit 5 dogs, $160

6:15-7:15PM: This group class is for puppies (up to a year old) or smaller dogs who want to learn how to swim! We will have an instructor who can go in the pool to assist your dog if needed, or if your puppy is more comfortable with you entering the pool you may do so and the instructor can help you assist your puppy! Bring clothes in case you need to go in! Please note: puppies will work one at a time in the pool so please be prepared to have your dog in your car or outside the pool area under control on a leash when it is not their turn.

-Prerequisite: None! Puppies up to a year old are allowed to enroll in this class, if your dog is older you can contact us for private swimming lessons or to see if an accommodation for this class can be made for your dog. This class is not appropriate for human or dog reactive dogs, please contact us for a private lesson if your dog is reactive.
-What to bring: a floatable, retrievable toy that your dog likes to play with! You should also bring towels to dry off your dog. You can bring treats to get your dog started as well. You are welcome to bring your own lifevest, but we have many here as well. If you need to go in the pool with your dog bring a change of clothes!

Wednesdays Starting July 3rd
Foundations for Agility Group Class
4 week class, limit 6 dogs, $150

TWO CLASSES! 5:30PM & 6:45PM: This group class is to teach foundation agility skills to new dogs and handlers! Come learn all about the sport of agility with your dog. We will cover: jumping, contact obstacles (running/stopped contacts), weave pole introduction (channels, 2x2), tunnels, and basic handling skills. Dogs may work one at a time in this class so please come prepared to crate your dog in the car or in the building or have control over your dog when they are not working.

-What to bring: For this class we will use food and toy reinforcements.
-Prerequisite: Dog should have basic obedience skills and be able to work off leash with the handler with distractions. If your dog cannot do that I would recommend taking our Basic Obedience (Life Skills) group class first.

Agility Group Classes!

Tuesdays Starting July 2nd
Intermediate/Advanced Agility Group Class
4 week class, limit 5 dogs, $150

5:30-6:30PM: This group class is for dogs with foundation/beginner agility skills to continue working on their skills and running courses. Dogs will work one at a time in this class so please come prepared to crate your dog in the car or in the building or have control over your dog when they are not working. This class will be focused on working towards AKC, UKI and USDAA competitions.

-What to bring: For this class we will use food and toy reinforcements.
-Prerequisite: Beginner Agility class or similar, dog should be comfortable on the contact equipment, should have almost closed or closed weave poles, and should be able to complete small sequences with basic handling or full courses

Can’t make it in-person to our Fitness for Dock Diving Workshop? We have an online version!

Fitness For Dock Diving Workshop
3-hour workshop, $150/dog working spot

In this 3 hour workshop we will cover everything you need to bring the most out of your dock diving dog! We will cover warm up and cool down routines, exercises for increasing jumping power (more pop!), speed and strength down the dock. If the weather is good we will not only focus on land exercises inside, but we will also get on the dock and in the pool work on some exercises you can do in the water with your dog to increase swimming strength and speed, as well as speed, power and pop down the dock! During the land fitness portion dogs will work in groups for some of the exercises and one at a time for others. If the weather is good and we use the pool dogs will work one at a time for these exercises so please come prepared to work your dog out of the car.

We will cover all the same information as the in-person workshop, but broken down into THREE one hour online zoom classes. My schedule is crazy so these classes are all over the place, but they will be recorded so if you cannot attend them live, you can still watch the recording and submit videos for feedback! This will be run via zoom and a facebook group. I am offering working spots ONLY for the online class ($150). You will have access to the facebook group for forever and can post videos for review up to one week after the conclusion of the last zoom (07/16). For this online class you will need at least: 1 agility jump, 4 cavalettis, 1 cato board (or similar stable platform), 1 klimb (or similar raised stable platform), and rubber feed bowls (2-4). We may use more equipment in the class for demos, but everything can be modified to be done with these items.

ONLINE ZOOMS: 06/21 at 1pm, 06/25 at 7:15pm, and 07/09 at 10am (these are subject to change as my schedule can be crazy but I’m not planning on it and we will get all three in!), the price includes all three. YOU DO NOT NEED TO ATTEND THESE LIVE! They will be recorded and uploaded!

Intro to Dock Diving Group Class
4 week class, limit 5 dogs, $160

10-11AM: This group class will introduce you and your dog to the sport of dock diving! We will start by introducing dogs to swimming off the ramp and getting them comfortable retrieving a toy. Each dog will progress at their own rate! Once your dog is comfortable jumping independently (no person in the pool) and retrieving a toy off the ramp, we will introduce your dog to the dock. Dogs will work one at a time in the pool so please be prepared to have your dog in your car when it is not their turn.

NO CLASS 07/27!

-Prerequisite: This group class is for dogs who already know how to swim. If your dog does not already know how to swim please contact us to set up a swimming lesson.
-What to bring: a floatable, retrievable toy that your dog likes to play with! You should also bring towels to dry off your dog. You can bring treats to get your dog started as well.

Dock Diving Drop In Class with April
1-hr drop in class, $40/dog, limit 5 dogs

7-8PM: In this drop in class we will work with each dog wherever they are at in their dock diving training! Dogs should be comfortable swimming and retrieving a toy, HOWEVER they do not need to have experience in the pool off the ramp for this class (they can have had experience swimming and retrieving in a lake or the ocean). Each dog will work one at a time and will get two turns. Please be prepared to work your dog out of the car or have control over your dog outside the pool area when it is not their turn. You must pre-register for this drop in class. You can register for one class or all 4! You can register more than one dog in this class as dogs work one at a time. Each dog will get TWO 5-minute turns in this group class, if you wish to work multiple dogs you can register them each for their own spot and they will each get two turns OR you can register for one spot and work one dog in each 5-minute session.

-What to bring: A 4-6ft fixed leash and a floatable, retrievable toy that your dog likes to play with!
-Prerequisite: dogs who know how to swim and retrieve toys in the water. If your dog is new to our ramp and pool the instructor may recommend you getting in the pool to encourage your dog if needed, so come prepared to potentially get wet (we have bathrooms you can change afterwards)! If your dog doesn't know how to swim confidently yet or won't retrieve a toy in the water, schedule a private lesson or check out our puppy swim class!

NEW! RAMP Division! This division is for puppies and/or dogs who are not yet jumping off the dock. Measurements will be made from the end of the ramp to the base of the tail when the dog enters the water. Dog must jump on their own. There will only be one ramp division (not multiple divisions like in the regular distance jumping). Dogs of any age can enter! When you check in just let us know you will be jumping in the ramp division! This division is only available for distance jumps.

Let's Flex Canine Fitness Online Class 4 week class, limit 8 working spots, $125 Flexibility is extremely important for all sport dogs and many times it is the forgotten element of a fitness plan. Flexibility is just as important as strength, balance, and cardio for our dogs! Our online class Let's Flex will cover everything you need to know about stretching and flexibility exercises for your dog! What we will cover: -What is the difference between static, passive, and dynamic stretching -What are the pros and cons of each -What is ROM -How can you find trigger points or problem spots on your dog -Dynamic flexibility exercises for all types of sports -And much more! This is a 4 week interactive online class. Each week we will upload a new module on a new topic pertaining to this course which you can view at anytime. Then each week on Tuesday we will we will meet live at 5pm EST in an online classroom (zoom) where we will discuss everything we covered that week and you can ask questions! Can you ever have too many catos? The answer is no!

Really proud of this team! Tallulah isn't a fan of touching (hey me either) and we have been working hard to change her emotional response to being touched; as there are scenarios where she needs to be touched like for example her owner needs to brush her. Before, she would try and create separation or get mouthy to try and avoid the touching or brushing. Her owner has been doing an amazing job and has done all the homework she has been given and look at her now (brush, ears and paw exam as part of their CGC training). Still a long way to go, but really proud of their progress! Sorry for the crummy video, shared with permission from the owner.
