Here's more to get you through this gloomy day ;) In the coming weeks I will be updating the website. Please note some new dates and the spring Jumper Show is back. The fall Jumper Show and Hunter Pace are on a new date because Dave and I are actually going on a vacation that is NOT in January ;)

UPDATE: Your voices have been heard and the Jumper Show and Hunter Pace will be in October. I agree, it is a nice way to wrap up the season.

You all preferred October over August for the Hunter Pace but I have a new question for you, would you like to switch the September Mini Trials to October 11-12 and put the Jumper Show/Hunter Pace on Sept 6-7 or leave the Mini Trials in Sept and the Jumper Show/Hunter Pace on October 11 - 12. Waylon will be here for a clinic on October 4 - 5.

Weekly Report on the progress of the Show Jump Fundraiser: Thanks to the recent donations from WithaWind Farm - The Gillespies and Nikki Roshon's Transitions Equine Training Center LLC we are closing in on 1/3 of our goal. I know it's 6 months away, but I'm excited to announce that dinner will be catered by BBQ on 172, cakes by Chef Robert Monter (aka known as the dessert guy), wine from the Tipsy Farmer Winery ($5/glass), and music by Winona Hills Music aka Todd-Kerry Varble.

Stay tuned for more information and mark your calendar, registration opens on April 1. Pre-registration is required so we have enough food, tables and chairs for everyone. The party is open to all; FREE to competitors and volunteers, $25 for all others. It's going to be a good time!

Susan Malencia and Crush enjoying playing on the Trail Course with Camile & her new mustang. They took advantage of the free schooling because they have volunteered this year. The weather looks relatively pleasant if anyone would like to come play this weekend.

UPDATE: October it is. The date may possibly change depending on Waylon's availability can come for the clinic.

Dave and I are excited to go on a vacation to see some of the National Parks out west next fall. The only issue, besides me missing Flying Cross Horse Trials, is that it is in September and we will have to reschedule the fall hunter pace and jumper show. Would you prefer August 23 - 24 or Oct 11 - 12? Thanks

It's a good day for planning for the 2025 season. Would anyone be interested in doing a digital program you me. I would like to have it for Winona and ALL the Mini Trials. I actually need it because, as part of the Show Jump Fundraiser I have promised mentions, ads etc in the programs. Check out the digital programs that Flying Cross Farm have done. Something along those lines.

You will also notice that there are a lot of ads. Can I interest anyone if getting advertizers for the program. I would be more than willing to give you a % of what you bring in.

In both cases, you can use any of the time you work on any of this, to put towards your volunteer hours which you need to be eligible for year end awards.

Thank you in advance for considering helping out. I'm really trying to delegate without giving myself more work. ;)

Since it's raining and I really don't want to go up to the old house to clean it out I've come up with a sneak peek of some of the plans for the Celebration Party. What do you thing?

We're planning on a BIG party to celebrate the 40th running of the Winona Horse Trials on Saturday May 3rd. I need help with the following:
🐴Promotions: make flyers to promote and remind people about the party and share them on social media.
🐴Set up: tables and chairs, door prizes etc
🐴Ticket master: collect tickets at the door and sell commerative T shirts
🐴 Photo presentaion: solicit photos and put together a slide presentaion
🐴IT Person: To set up projector for the slide show and to find a way to link and show the Kentucky Derby
🐴 Winona Derby: orgabize the bouncy ball races before the running of the KY Derby
🥇Awards for various activities

If you are able to help with any of the above please let me know so we can start brain storming and planning. Thank you, this is going to be a lot of fun!!
