She was a little nervous throughout, so taking it slow and giving lots of love and treats was the best way to get her through! And we even got some super cute pictures!!

Maizy the Maltipoo

This was her first grooming appt at 4.5mos old! Just a baby! She did super well, a little wiggly but to be expected from a puppy! Getting them in as young as 16wks is super important to create positive associations with being groomed! It shouldn’t be a scary or stressful process for them! We want all dogs to be a excited to see us, even if it’s only a little bit or maybe not at all lol!! 🫶 Just as long as they know nothing bad is gonna happen to them that’s all we can really ask for!

How long does this doodle haircut take? This is Panini & she’s a labradoodle who comes in every 6 weeks for a bath & haircut! Her family likes to keep her super long & fluffy to look like a little plush toy! We keep her at 1inch all over which happens to be the longest length we offer! I know ONE inch of hair doesn’t sound like too much work, but oh boy is it ever!! If you want your dogs hair to be this long you have to be dedicated to keeping them extremely well brushed to avoid matting! Panini’s family is AMAZING at keeping her super well brushed & rarely has even a single tangle🤩 With Panini being a doodle, she got the SUPER thick, wool-like-hair genes! It takes forever to wash & rinse the shampoo/conditioner thoroughly, and then to fully dry & brush through, AND THEN finally to clip her hair! However she is so cooperative & so sweet for everything! She takes me anywhere from 2.5-3 hrs depending on the day!
