Meet Home and Hearth' s Ashley Loo Purrkins.
Many of you knew my mother, Shirley Perkins personally. My mom passed away several months ago and we miss her so much.

Ashley was not only my mother 's cat, but you could say that she was my mother's 'masterpiece'. My mom worked to develop the breed for over 20 years and had grand plans for Ashley.

Ashley is pregnant now with her very first litter. I will be sure to keep you updated with pictures and details about the kittens

We are a three generation family organization, and have been breeding British Shorthair kittens for over 20 years.

We live in Portland, Oregon and if you live close we would like to invite you to come and visit and see the kittens.

We like to travel with our kittens... We find that it is so much nicer for them to have a human companion and to travel in the cabin... and we find ways to make that option affordable. We make it our policy to offer personal delivery for what you might expect to pay for shipping. It's so much nicer for these little ones to have a human companion to travel with.

I have some very sad news to share. My dear mother, Shirley Perkins, passed away recently.

You may recall that she and I had been working together, breeding British Shorthair kittens for over 20 years. Recently my daughter, Bryn, joined us and we became a three generation family business.

My mom was nearly 91 years of age and painlessly approached the end of her life with a great deal of peace and grace.

I thought I would share a picture of my mom a few years ago with her beautiful cat, Chaucer and a recent mother daughter kitty picture.

If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you are officially invited over to my house to visit and see these beautiful kittens.

If you do not live in the Pacific northwest, keep in mind that we frequently travel to deliver our kittens to their new homes. We do our very best to keep the option of personal delivery affordable. We subsidize part of the cost so that it is not more than the cost of shipping. It's so much nicer for these little ones to have a human companion to travel with.
