Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of taking care of horses and riding horses. We accomplish this through hands-on experience with horses in a safe and welcoming environment. At Brek-n-Ridge Farm we specialize on riding preparedness, confidence, arena and trail confidence, and accuracy by teaching the useful tools geared for the riders unique style of riding. Each student at Brek-n-Ridge Farm w

ill leave the stable with advanced skill and better judgement. Dressage is the French word for "TRAINING" and Brek-n-Ridge Farm loves to teach

We’d like to share with all of you, as adults or as parents of young girls and boys, is that the stable can be a wonderful leadership school. In our society, women and men are not always encouraged to participate, speak out or be in charge. In the barn these qualities are practiced on a daily basis, perfectly matched with an educated compassion for the horses. There is no coincidence that many of the great business leaders in the world have an equestrian background.

We’re having a Maryal Clunic Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning - join to watch our horses in training - Karin riding Charlie (getting ready for Top Sport - the beautiful black Freisian in the fields) and Esme ( the beautiful Spanish mare), Hannah and Jewels - Laurie and her two handsome mounts - super fun - dinner together on Tuesday too !

Just a reminder! Brek-n-Ridge Farm is hosting Maryal Barnett for a clinic November 12-13. Rides start at 2 pm and end at 6:15 pm Tuesday. Wednesday rides start at 9am and end at 1:30pm. Auditors are welcome for a small fee. We look forward to seeing everyone!!!

With temperatures cooling down and the show season winding to an end, we will be resuming our regular monthly Maryal Barnett clinics starting Nov. 12 and 13th.
Got some fine tuning on your dressage tests you want to accomplish? Or do you just want to come audit and learn from one of the best?
Current schedule ride times starting Tuesday at 2:00pm-5:30pm with a dinner to follow and will resume Wednesday morning 8:30am-1:00pm. There are a few spots still available if interested contact Andrew at (231)242-0012

FRIENDS help friends !

Yes, horses can be sensitive to fireworks because of their heightened senses of hearing and sight, as well as their evolution as a prey species to react quickly to potential danger. Even calm horses can be startled by the loud noises and sudden flashing lights of fireworks. Please help keep our horses safe ! Thanks !!
