We can all be inspired by these two ladies. Mary riding Ben, who is 74 years old. And Dort riding her horse Legacy who is 73 years old. Both have overcome various physical ailments and limitations in their riding past, but they keep coming back for more!

Day two of horse camp is DONE! Within the first hour of camp half the group was caught in the downpour on our way back from a walk, and what a way to cool down! The other half of the campers were working on their craft making tie dye shirts! Video incoming of the madness that ensued trying to save the craft table 😆

It has been hot! Lessons are still in full swing, but situationally they may be a little different daily depending on the horse and student. Some of the lessons may focus more on groundwork or maybe ba****ck with this heat! Horse camp started yesterday, more photos to come!

The Buster and Sheryl McLaury Clinic is underway! Please stop by and watch and learn from this amazing horseman. $30 per day to watch, kids 16 and under free; bring a notebook and a chair. We are looking for donations of snacks, bottled water, and Gatorade for our Buster and Sheryl Horsemanship and cow working clinic!

It starts Thursday at 9 AM! Horsemanship one will take place in the morning from 9 AM to noon. Cow working will be in the afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30. The schedule is the same Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Horse camp students! This morning there was a major accident near the entrance of our driveway please enter the barn through Bester to Hoyt. When you get to Hoyt mention to the nice man in the yellow vest that you were going to horse camp and he will let you through. Drive theough the tall grass by the soccer field where you see tracks See you soon!

This is a BEAUTIFUL site. Lyle has been on tiny pasture rest since Christmas, when he tore a tendon in his front leg. It’s been a long road for him, his recovery couldn’t have happened with everyone who put time into wrapping, grooming, walking and cleaning his pen and shed. Tonight he moved back out into a slightly larger pasture with his best friend Vinnie, and tomorrow he will go back out with his herd for the first time since winter!

Two of our seasonal borders returned to their summer pasture last week! Watch this beautiful video of them being turned out into the grass for the first time. Itty-bitty and Big Peaches will be back at the barn for winter boarding in November. . . . #horses #horsepasture #greengrass #pony #horselove

A beautiful tribute to our amazing program!

We were busy horsing around yesterday, and forgot to post the horse of the week, Vinnie! He’s the big dude in this video chewing on Lyle’s ear. This gentle giant is the general of the school horse pasture, and though he’s not the boss he is the muscle. Standing over 17 hands tall he is also the largest horse we have on the property. He was donated some years ago by one of Leah‘s clients, he’s a great teacher! Vinnie can school all second level dressage movements and is great for both adults and children to ride. His canter is a dream! This one is a tear jerker!! Jake, owned and rode our school horse Traveler, 13 years ago! They have been looking for him for years. Jake still has his bridle hanging in his living room, and talks about him every single day. Well today, thanks to Facebook, they were reunited! It was beautiful, we all cried happy tears. Horses NEVER forget. ❤️
