Once again Breckinridge county animal shelter is code red once again ‼️‼️ Calls are coming in daily for stray dogs and owner surrenders 😭

Our 6 longest residents have fully sponsored adoption fees ‼️‼️

We have 1 dog kennel open! The shelter staff is doing everything in our power to prevent euthanasia for space. Our shelter is begging for adopters, rescues or fosters. Many of the adoption fees are fully sponsored at this time. Consider adopting your next pet and save a life.

The shelter is very low on dog & cat crates/carriers. If anyone has any of the shelter's crates or any of their own you are not using, we could really use some. We will take any size crate. Carriers help us transport animals safely to the vet visits. We also send dogs to rescues all over the United States in carriers/crates.

Breck County Animal Friends made this clinic possible by raising fund through donations. They are a wonderful non-profit group in Breckinridge County. We truly appreciate them 🐾 Donations are always welcome.

We have 5 free barn cats! Adoption fees sponsored 🐾😻

Did you know that some cats prefer the outdoors? Not every cat is suited for an indoor lifestyle and that's perfectly okay! Sometimes we get cats that come in that are poorly socialized or feral and we have to consider non-traditional adoption placements. These cats would not thrive with an indoor lifestyle and would be best suited as outdoor working cats for businesses, homeowners, and/or landowners.
