Looking for someone reliable and with a good work ethic to work weekends and holidays! It is a split shift, 7am til done (approx 9am) and 4pm til done (approx 6pm). Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to work! The right candidate will also be offered work during the week as a fill in as needed. I am getting calls and texts about giving donations to Miss Tina, our groomer who was severely injured yesterday by a dog. Miss Tina has been grooming for over 10 years and works for herself here at Rags to Rich's. For those wanting to donate to help her with her bills while she recovers, you can drop off your donation in an envelope with her name on it and we will make sure she receives it. It is unknown at this time when she will be able to return to work.

Next time you are booking a grooming appointment for your dog and the groomer is booked out, whether it be 2 to 3 week or 2 to 3 months, I want you to remember a few things:

~Groomers put up with a lot.
~We are overworked.
~We are generally and genuinely underappreciated.
~We push our bodies to the brink.
~Our work is intensive and laborsome.
~We can only groom so many dogs in a day.
~We are artists with a special skill that not everyone has.
~A lack of prior planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on our part.
~It is hair. It grows back.
~Grooming is expensive. We already know it costs more than your haircut. You do not get your entire body shaved and you certainly do not p**p on your hairdresser or bite them.
~There will never be enough groomers to keep up with the amount of dogs needing services in this country.
~If you treat your groomer poorly, they can and will fire you as a client. 💯
~We treat your dogs like our own and love your dogs like our own.
~We cannot ever promise you that nothing bad will ever happen. That isn't a promise we can keep. But we CAN promise to always handle any situation that arises appropriately and quickly.
~This career takes an immense level of passion and compassion.
~Grooming is a fulfilling and wonderful career full of beautiful moments.

Most importantly, I want to remind you that you can be the bright spot in that groomers day. YOU can be the difference between them being accused of being an awful person and being the person to make them smile. Please be kind. Your groomer is doing the very best that they can every minute of every day

With this being said we are doing some policy changes and are going to be firing and not taking aggressive dogs from this day forward. This is being done in the aftermath from one of our groomers being seriously injured yesterday with a possible finger amputation and unknown future of being able to return to work.

Meet Jax! Jax is very special to us. He is a 9 year old Husky who was abandoned here with us. Jax needs a loving home. He is not neutered. He gets along well with other dogs. We are not sure about cats. Once you see his beautiful blue eyes and cute little freckles on his nose you will fall instantly in love! Please give us a call if you can give Jax a good, loving, forever home. Celebrate National Pet Day today by stopping by to meet Jax!

This is a new puppy we have now, stash. He has just recently learned about our shop cat, Richie.

So we may have just found a new friend for miss Luna!! Aspen is one of our newer daycare babies. We have 2 seperated daycare groups, the "funky bunch", wich is the one you see in the video, is usually our more rowdy crowd between the two day are groups. Sometimes it is hard to find a good fit with new pups. But it seems miss Aspen fits right in with this group. Her brother Avery is in our other group, typically the smaller pups go in the other group. Although here lately it seems even the bigger pups are more comfortable in "chill group". Either way just know, we here at Rags to Richs, can help burn all that pent up energy out of your fur babies. So when they get home they relax and sleep all night for you! Stop by today and check us out. If anyone is interested in looking to place your babies in daycare I'm sure we can find a good fit for your pet.
