Meet Ms. Bonnie. She started off with private lessons but her owners decided that she needed a little more TLC so she is now enrolled in our 14 day hybrid board and train. She's a little unsure of new people and is anxious away from her family. Once tired and she feels as though she's done enough for the day she becomes a little nippy and that's where the muzzle comes in. However, being out and about she is becoming more confident each and every day and tries her best to do what is asked of her.

Draco, the 4-month-old Cane Corso pup, is basically a baby tank with paws, and his owners want to make sure he grows up to be the best, most well-mannered tank possible. So, they signed him up for a 14-day board-and-train to help him learn the ropes—because let’s be real, a 100+ pound dog with no manners is just a wrecking ball on four legs. But the training doesn’t stop there! His humans plan to keep his education going with group classes and practice at home. For now, Draco is just a big, sweet baby, ready to take on the world—one slobbery kiss at a time.

Indy, the Lab/Great Pyrenees mix, was basically a giant, fluffy alarm system with zero chill. At just a year old, he needed a confidence boost and some lessons in “How to Be a Polite Dog 101.” He used to bark at strangers like they owed him money, but now he’s cool, calm, and collected next to his dad. And let’s talk about his leash skills—Indy went from dragging his dad down the street like a rogue sled dog to actually walking like a civilized pup. He’s currently enrolled in a 14-day hybrid board-and-train, working on his transformation from chaos gremlin to well-mannered gentleman.

Victory post! We love training client dogs, but one thing that trainers do not normally discuss is the sacrifice our own personal dogs make each day since we are typically exhausted by the time we get home. Our own personal dogs typically end up on the back burner more times than we would like to admit. Today was a victory day for Zero (Ashley’s golden), Junior (Hollie’s Husky mix) & Amos & Cowboy (Jenna’s rescue pups). Congratulations on earning your CANINE GOOD CITIZEN Certifications with flying colors! Each of these dogs & trainers have worked diligently to ensure their training is maintained in efforts to add even more value to client appointments. As you all know, they all love being demo dogs. Congratulations, Milo, for completing the Copilot Academy 14-day board and train! Milo came to us with low confidence around people and dogs, didn’t know how to walk on a leash without pulling his hooman down the street, over alert in his surroundings, and zero impulse control. Now Milo and his hooman enjoy nice sunset walks in peace, sits and downs until released, doesn’t chew on hands or furniture when asked to do something, and learned how to focus on his hooman instead of his surroundings. Such an awesome transformation from this 1 year old German Shepherd/Belgium Mal mix!!! Way to go!!!

Welcome Team Littermates, Bonnie & Clyde! They are both a little over a year old & opposite as night & day. Clyde is laid back & needs help with leash manners, nipping, counter surfing & impulse control. Bonnie on the other hand, doesn’t trust others as much, likes to bark, lunge and be reactive on a leash, a bit snobby when it comes to treats, and doesn’t like to be told what to do. She is also not a fan of strangers. Littermates can be tricky, but we have a solid game plan to help reestablish pack leadership for their family and less stress when on walks.

Congratulations to Team Macie for completing their 14 Day Hybrid Board & Train Program! Macie received several private lessons, but it became evident that she could benefit more through immersion around other dogs since she had vocal reactivity. She’s a sweet girl, but she has a bit of a Dori brain and would be fine with dogs one minute and then lose it the next. What a transformation the hybrid program was for her! She still needs consistency & continued exposure, but she is on her way with a strong foundation, and her owner is now equipped with more confidence.

Team Cady is killing it just one week into her Board and Train! Her owners are elderly and sometimes need wheelchairs to get around better so we introduced her to heeling beside one today. Team Biscuit is currently 8 days into her 21 day Board & Train and we have been doing a lot of confidence boosting. She was brought to me with almost zero confidence what so ever. In this video I filmed her on her second day with me versus now her 8 days with me and the amount her confidence has grown is amazing! It’s been a slow journey but she’s doing so great and I’m so excited to see how she is by the end of the 21 days!
