👵 November is Senior Pet Health Month 👴
Every pet's health is important, but with the colder months ahead of us, this is the time to give our senior pet's a little more attention. Colder months can equate joint pain. This can present itself as no longer wanting to jump or slowing down during walks. There are several treatments for joint pain such as physical therapy, medication, supplements, laser therapy, and more.

If you feel like your pet might be experiencing joint paint, please call our office at (956) 440-7297.

Milton Resendes was a good friend.

He was a good friend to the community he protected, a good friend to our staff and most importantly, a great personal friend of ours since high school. His loss is profound in countless ways, all of which have only just begun to be realized.

The world was a better place with Milton in it.

Thank you Milton, for everything. We will miss you.

Help pets have a safe Halloween! 👻 Here are some safety tips for making your pet's experience less SPOOKY.

🥸 Keep candy and wrappers away from your pet! Chocolate is toxic and wrappers can cause obstructions in the digestive system.

🥸 Make your pet a comfy, safe space in a secluded area of your home. Have soft music, low lighting, and some of your pet's favorite toys.

🥸 Costumes might make some pet's confused or frighten them. If you are planning to entertain Trick-or-Treaters, keep your pet away from the front door. Maybe have a pet gate to keep them secluded and safe from an unplanned escape.

🥸 Do NOT put glow jewelry on your pet! If chewed through, the liquid can cause intestinal problems and the plastic can cause blockages.

🥸 If your pet is going Trick-or-Treating, make sure to have their collar on and leashed at all times. Also be aware of your pet's body language. Remember, some costumes can be scary.

Many people think that cats are self-reliant and therefore do not require much as dogs. Happy Cat Month aims to counteract this stereotypes and ensure cats are well cared for, enriched, and receive the preventative care and medical treatment they need.

Cats do need flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. They also do need yearly vaccines. If you have questions or need to set up and appointment, call our office. 🐱🐾
