Mr. Farmer has been working hard! Look at all this beautiful produce. Just a reminder that the Olde Beaufort Farmer's Market has its last market for the season this Saturday. After a short break for a much needed rest from December 13, 2025, to January 3, 2026, we will be back at the New Bern Farmer's Market every Saturday through winter!

Huge shout out to Chef Josh, Butch and Alex Parrott's on Eleventh for making Rebecca’s Birthday Dinner amazing! Chef Josh was able to fulfill a special request for her Dinner and the staff made the entire evening spectacular with genuine kindness as though we were family and great humor as well as top shelf service. Parrot on 11th has long been one of the best kept secrets in Morehead. A heart felt thank you to all of you for making her night so special!

Please join me in wishing Rebecca (Mrs. Farmer) a Happy Birthday! I have been blessed to make this journey with her. She is my absolute rock and I’m in awe of how she manages so many of life’s challenges with grace. She will hate the photos I posted but that goes with the territory 😘🎂🎂🎂

This is the chicken tractor we introduced earlier this year. The back of our field is clearly out of control for grass and w**d growth. I pulled the tractor into it and have been moving it every couple of days. It’s incredible the damage 12 chickens can do in just a few days. The left side of the tractor is the beginning size, behind the tractor is what they leave. They are helping to reclaim this space 12 feet at a time.

Gentleman Jack supervising work this morning from the porch. He’s retired now from retriever and farm security system (but fills in as needed) and now spends his days ensuring the chickens don’t fight and UPS leaves packages on the covered porch. Though he’s napping when FedEx usually arrives so they get away with leaving stuff in the rain. He’s also our official tire greeter 💦. My whole life I wanted to work somewhere I could take my dog to work. Now I do.

We are doing an on farm pick up today 11-1. Bagged Mixed greens, Mizuna, arugula. We also have eggs, fresh basil and cucumbers as well as poblano and mixed sweet peppers. Last we will have some butter nut squash.

This year we were selected to be recipients of the Farmer Veteran Coalition fellowship grant. We couldn’t be more grateful for the assistance in obtaining a BCS tractor with two very needed implements. This beautiful machine has already been put to work on the farm.
