We have an immediate opening for a part time position 12-15 hours a week. Duties include delivery, equipment sanitation and Microgreen processing. We are a growing produce company needing to expand our staff to accommodate demand. Work days are Tuesdays and Thursdays with additional days possible depending on demand. Drug free and clean driving record a must.

Red salad turnips…..pretty wild. Great flavor and texture with a marbled heart. Enjoying this one this year.

Earlier this year a pair of killdeer showed up on the farm and made a spectacle of themselves flying and calling all around. They spent a week or so running around, literally, serenading us while we worked. Then they fell silent. I figured one had moved on or a hawk got it. This morning in my tunnel I found 3 hatchlings running about. We will give them space and time to move out, cute lil buggers.

Last night Rebecca and I were honored to be guests of Jayson, Josh and the Amazing crew of Bluemoon for their 2025 Beaufort Wine & Food dinner. Historically they host a guest chef but this year they chose to highlight and host their local vendors that provide them with locally produced ingredients year round. We were joined by and while we enjoyed this amazing dinner and awesome Brassfield Estate wine pairings. Thank you for the invite and highlight but most importantly thank you for consistently supporting locally produced foods and showcasing the best of Eastern NC.

Looks like we got the queen on the swarm capture! I knew when I dumped them in the box I had her but the next morning a fair amount do the swarm had left the box. We added a few frames from the main hive and moved them to and they are enjoying their new home!
