This is a friendly stray cat that is approximately 6 weeks pregnant. She is temporarily with one of our employee's friends who took the cat to her vet. The cat is FIV/Felv negative. She was not given vaccines since she is pregnant. We were told she has put on some weight since this photo.
Local rescues have been reached out to with no luck. If you are interested in helping this mama cat and providing a home, please call Pets in Harmony 724-473-4738 and ask for Lacy.

Diesel is a six year old male in good health who needs a new home. His owners say he is good with kids and other animals. $100 "rehoming fee" will pay for his neuter at Pets in Harmony. He is up to date on vaccines. Serious inquires, send us a message on FB for more info.

These two boys are looking for a home after being found outside a client's house. Both are approximately 9 weeks old, negative for FELV/FIV, and have had their first FVRCP vaccine. They have also been dewormed and are on Nexgard Combo for fleas. They have a mild eye infection that is being treated and expected to clear up quickly. If you are interested in giving one, or both, a loving home, please reach out to Shelly at 724-992-9135.

Extreme 🔥heat🔥warning this week! Pets are at risk of heat stroke in temperatures over 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Use caution if walking outdoors and watch for signs of heat stroke.

Arthritis affects many of our senior patients and now there is a product giving owners hope to help relieve their dog's pain.

Librela is the first and only monthly injectable monoclonal antibody therapy for dogs with osteoarthritis pain.

The video below shows a patient at our sister hospital, Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital. Mo is a 9 1/2 year old pitbull mix who has been struggling with arthritis pain. They have attempted to treat his symptoms over the past year with various pain relievers, eg. carprofen, gabapentin, galliprant and codeine, with little to no real improvement seen.

Mo received his first Librela injection on May 1st. The video documents Mo's weekly progress thereafter. As you can see, there is marked improvement in his mobility.

Mo received his second injection yesterday and we expect to see him continue to show pain relief and potentially even more improvement!

Thank you Lawrence County Career and Technical Center for asking us to participate in this year's Career Day. We got to spend the morning with future veterinary assistant and grooming students. What a great group of young adults! Thank you to Ms. Yanak for the tour of the classroom, kennels and pet area. We look forward to our partnership in the intern and co-op programs.

We had a local celebrity visit us today! This girl traveled miles and days before being trapped. Thank you to the community and all those that invested time and effort to bring her to safety.
