Each horse is UNIQUE!! Meet Miss Sophia, a 3 year old AQHA mare that came to us to be started. While The G Method does allow for a colt to be started and ridden within 45 minutes, the horse’s happiness matters! Once I started working Sophia, I found out quickly she was short tempered. I could have rushed her, but instead I took the time to build her trust, and confidence, to make the start of her education a POSITIVE one! Trailer loading Very important to have a good experience the first time. Tips with out being violent towards this is have another horse already in the trailer. Get panels around the back end of the trailer. Walk them up half way then back then up. Several times. Once loaded in the trailer I like to give them one little treat. Not often but every now and then. Nothing wrong with giving treats! Takes some time with them. Also take can take The G Method and load one up as well!
