Effective 1/1/24, we’ll be closed on the second Saturday & Sunday of each month. I will have a list of 2024 dates for anyone interested.

Recommendations for other pro sitters for your area are available anytime. More changes are planned and will be announced here as the details are finalized.

HFT is aware of the virus that’s spreading around quickly in dogs and keeping current on updates. We are taking extra precautions with frequent hand washing, sanitizer and close attention to the pets in our care for any related symptoms.

I haven’t seen evidence of this infection being transmitted from people to dogs, however, the spread of other illnesses can be prevented or minimized with frequent hand washing and universal preventative measures.

The best ways to avoid infection in your dogs is by keeping them current for vaccinations, particularly Bordetella, avoiding close contact with other dogs, watching for any signs or symptoms and promptly getting medical attention if you see anything suspicious.

I love Siamese cats and had 2 at once when I moved to a new condo. The guys setting up my new bed (father & son) were cat lovers and the dad asked what kind I had hiding in their crate. I said Siamese and he said,”that’s great.” The son asked to see them so I pulled the closest one out and watched his face fall. His expression told me his thoughts… I said, “Did you think they were joined together?” He confessed he did.
I had never thought about Siamese cats that way! 😂 People can see the same things completely differently than me or anyone and it’s amazing to see something from another’s perspective. What a beautiful life lesson! 💜🐾🐾💜

Thanks to all who participated in guessing the year of the photo taken. The winner is W Kyle Thurman and his Awesomesauce pupper Rodney. The year was 1978 and as promised I have just donated $78 to Mountain Cats TNR, a wonderful local charity with amazing volunteers who make a difference everyday in Jefferson County WV.
