Hello Friends!!

I came on here to apologize for the radio silence that we have had for a few months. Here’s why -

In early June I went outside to do
Chicken chores with my 5 year old. I stepped off the back patio and snapped my ankle in half πŸ˜–.
Me being me I assumed it was just a bad sprain and we elevated, iced and rested it. I wore a boot for a few days but gradually worked back into my normal routine of chores and life. It caused me discomfort still in August so I decided to check in with my doctor.
Several X-rays and an MRI later it showed the I actually fractured my talus bone, had multiple bone fragments just floating around and completely tore two major ligaments and partially tore another 🫠.

We decided to treat with physical therapy and after months it proved to not help at all.

Meeting with an orthopedic surgeon we scheduled reconstructive surgery for early December.

Then on November 2nd we were hit with an EF3 tornado.
We did not loose ONE chicken or Turkey in an absolute miracle. They were displaced and banged up but everyone survived. We began the cleanup process and that is still an ongoing project.

I had my surgery in December 6th and it has been a learning process and a VERY humbling experience. Currently healing is going great and I am still non weight bearing until January 13th. Then we begin the PT again.

If you’ve stuck with me this far Thank you!!
It has been quite the crazy few months and right now my little family is in survival mode. We will get back to it early next year and have more to share with yall.

Much love from the Ripper Ranch Fam ❀️❀️

Here are some pics of our lives over the last few months

Happy Friday Friends! β˜€οΈ

The littlest Ripper Ranch member started kindergarten this week so we have been a little distracted lately.

Our feathery friends are all doing well in this heat πŸ₯΅

Here is our formally feral cat Birdie showing off the beautiful eggs we get to collect everyday. πŸ₯š

Hi Friends!

It’s been a little busy these past few weeks with my college semester coming to a close and finals needing to be done.

We are ready for this summer off and to keep growing our little homestead.

I had hoped to be able to offer more eggs for sale but two of our girls gave gone broody and some have not started to lay yet this spring. With the longer days and warmer weather I’m sure we will be back on track in no time.

As always we will keep you updated! πŸ”πŸ₯š

I haven’t forgot about egg sales! Our girls haven’t quite all started laying yet and the supply we are getting has just been enough to sustain our family and one loyal customer. I will continue to assess on Fridays and post if we have any extra dozens for sale 😊
These little cuties aren’t old enough to start laying yet but should soon!

Hi friends πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

I am excited to announce that we will soon be offering eggs for sale. πŸ₯š πŸ“

I will post what have available per week on Fridays for sale and can deliver on the weekends.

I can meet local to me - anywhere within Harrah, Choctaw & Midwest city.

Please understand that the availability will often change as our girls often give us different amounts of eggs throughout the week.

I will do my best to keep everyone informed and please feel free to message me here or at 405-708-9304.

Eggs will be sold a dozen at a time for $5️⃣. At this time I can accept cash or cashapp.

Your dozen will include a random mixture of light brown, speckled, green & blue colored eggs.

All our girls are free range grass/flower/seed fed from sun up to sun down and supplemented with an organic feed. We often give them snacks consisting of nuts, fresh fruit, veggies, meat and grains.

It is important when adding new babies to your flock to take time with introductions! We have been safely socializing our first group of 2024 chicks to our flock like this ⬇️
Babies are safely contained and able to see, hear & smell the entire flock. We sprinkle food and scratch right outside and inside so they can β€œshare” meals.

At almost 8 weeks old they will be outside permanently very soon 🌞

We started on our coop reno this weekend! We added an outside small roosting area with nesting boxes and built a big ladder roost area in the larger shed.

The chickens are ever so curious and wanted to know exactly what we were up to πŸ˜‚πŸ“

Hello friends! Welcome to our page!
We are a family farm located somewhere between Harrah and Choctaw Oklahoma.
We are both Veterans and want to leave his world a little better than we found it. Expect lots of chicken content! As well as what it’s like living out here in the country.
So far we are just a small operation and hope to soon be able to offer chicken eggs, chicks and houseplants.

The weather is finally warming up and our chickens have started to lay again!
