It is important when adding new babies to your flock to take time with introductions! We have been safely socializing our first group of 2024 chicks to our flock like this β¬οΈ
Babies are safely contained and able to see, hear & smell the entire flock. We sprinkle food and scratch right outside and inside so they can βshareβ meals.
At almost 8 weeks old they will be outside permanently very soon π
Our first 2024 baby batch are trying to dust bath inside their enclosure this morning π. Itβs a little too cold in Oklahoma to let them outside today so they found a way! (The pads in their brooder get switched out multiple times a day βΊοΈ)
