Red Dirt Boxer Rescue is a group of dedicated volunteers who have made it their mission to find perfect homes for homeless or displaced boxers located throughout Oklahoma. We exist to serve the breed that we adore and the families that love them.
Found! Stray hold alert. After several people reaching out, for several weeks, we were finally able to get these two babies picked up.

🫶🏽We had a sweet young male come in that a wonderfully caring couple saved off the side of the road at a lake where he and another puppy had been dumped. Heart broken at their conditions they swooped them up and immediately searched for a rescue.
👌🏽We just so happened to have one spot open and took the boxer in who has mange, fleas, ticks and a bunch of scrapes and cuts.
😍Tyson Fury is the sweetest and happiest baby boxer, especially for as hungry and beat up as he came in. We believe him to be around 8mo old and a fighter. We know this kids going to be stunning when he puts weight on and his hair grows back in. He seems like he gets along with others, he was unaffected by my barn cats, and other foster dogs, although he's only met him from a distance. He also seemed food protective at the finders house with their dogs, but that's to be expected with a starved dog. We will be working on that and basic training. He already walks on the leash and knows what the grass is for. He's fine in a crate and in the kennels. He just wants to be touched and loved on. He is going to make a spectacular forever friend/family member for someone.

Due to the high volume of calls we have been receiving, please listen closely to the following options and choose the one that best describes you or your situation:
Press 1 if you have a 10-year-old dog and your 15-year-old son has suddenly become allergic and you need to find the dog a new home right away.
Press 2 if you are moving TODAY but knew it 3 months ago and need to immediately place your 150 pound, 8-year-old dog.
Press 3 if you have three dogs, had a baby and want to get rid of your dogs because you are the only person in the world to have a baby and dogs at the same time.
Press 4 if you just got a brand new puppy and your old dog is having problems adjusting so you want to get rid of the old one right away.
Press 5 if your little puppy has grown up and is no longer small and cute and you want to trade it in for a new model.
Press 6 if you want an unpaid volunteer to come to your home TODAY and pick up the dog you no longer want.
Press 7 if you have been feeding and caring for a “stray” for the
last three years, are moving and suddenly determine it’s not your dog.
Press 8 if your dog is sick and needs a vet but you need the money for your vacation, w**d, manicure/ pedicure or your hair needs a color & cut.
Press 9 if you are elderly and want to adopt a cute puppy who is active and is going to outlive you, cause you will fall and break a hip & you have ZERO relatives after this happens to help with the dog.
Press 10 if your relative has died and you don’t want to care for
their elderly dog because it doesn’t fit your lifestyle. Press pound pound if we need to pu the pet within 4 minutes.
Press 11 if your cat is biting and not using the litter box because
it is declawed, but you are not willing to accept the responsibility
that the cat’s behavior is altered because of YOUNG nice furniture.
Press 12 if your two-year old male dog is marking all over your house but you just haven’t gotten around to having him neutered.
Press 13 if you previously had an outdoor only dog and are calling because she is suddenly pregnant.
Press 14 if you are calling at 5 a.m. to make sure you wake me up before I have to go to work so you can drop a dog off on your way to work.
Press 15 to leave us an anonymous garbled message, letting us know you have left a dog in our yard in the middle of January, which is in fact, better than just leaving the dog with no message.
Press 16 if you are going to get angry because we are not going to take your dog that you have had for fifteen years, because it is not our responsibility.
Press 17 if you are going to threaten ME to take your ten-year old dog to be euthanized because we can't take it because 55 others are in line ahead of you.
Press 18 if you’re going to get angry because the volunteers had the audacity to go on vacation and leave the dogs in care of a trusted volunteer who is not authorized to take your personal pet.
Press 19 if you want one of our PERFECTLY trained, hypoallergenic, under 9 pound female dogs that are housebroken, kid and cat friendly purebred that we have an abundance of.
Press 20 if you want us to take your dog that has a slight aggression problem, i.e. has only bitten a few people and killed your neighbor’s cats.
Press 21 if you have already called once and been told we don’t take personal surrenders but thought you would get a different person this time with a different answer.
Press 22 if you want us to use space that would go to a stray to
board your personal dog while you are on vacation, free of charge, of course.
Press 23 if it is Christmas Eve or Easter morning and you want me to deliver an eight week old puppy to your house by 6:30 am before your kids wake up- oh and it needs to never bark or never p*e in the house
Press 24 if you have bought your children a duckling, chick or baby bunny for Easter and it is now Christmas and no longer cute.
Press 25 if you want us to take your female dog who has already had ten litters, but we can’t spay her because she is pregnant again and it is against your religion.
Press 26 if you’re lying to make one of our younger volunteers feel bad and take your personal pet off your hands.
Press 27 if you have done “everything” to housebreak your dog and have had no success but you don’t want to crate the dog because it is cruel, you also refuse to gate the dog into a secure area like a kitchen or nook
Press 28 if you didn’t listen to the message asking for an evening phone number and you left your work number when all volunteers are also working and you are angry because no one called you back.
Press 29 if you need a puppy immediately and cannot wait because today is your daughter’s birthday and you forgot when she was born.
Press 30 if your dog’s coat doesn’t match your new furniture and you need a different color or breed.
Press 31 if your new f$&k buddy doesn’t like your dog and you are too
stupid to get rid of the new friend (who will dump you in the next
month anyway) instead of the dog.
Press 32 if you went through all these ‘options’ and didn’t hear
enough. This press will connect you to the sounds of tears being shed by one of our volunteers who is holding a discarded old dog while the vet mercifully frees him from the grief of missing his family.

Today's dog of the day is 4yo Andaleigha Star, we just call her Andy most of the time.
This sweet girl is the sweetest little bitty girl. She loves to be loved on and might even push between you and anyone else getting her attention. Affectionate and soak's up any touching you will give her, scratches and straight message are even on the YES meter. She's potty trained, crate trained (although it's not her favorite), leash trained and she rides good in a car once she finds the spot. She's a no on cats!

Why oh why have there not been any applications for these boys? They are handsome and going to make awesome additions to you family. Chance Simmons 2, Maverick 7 and Roman 2 may not be full blood boxers but they are still worthy of a families love. They all three love car rides and pup cups. They love walks, people and are all around great dogs. None of them love cats and they may be choosy with the dog crowd they hang with but honestly they just want to be in a home and part of your routine.
We believe Chance is hard of hearing but not totally deaf but someone paid for braces because his smile is that of toothpaste ads. Roman absolutely loves stuffies, chew toys, messages and has a hilarious do**us personality. Maverick just loves being your right hand man. He'd be a great movie watcher specifically Hallmark and Marvel, crossword puzzles and strolls on the beach... wait that's his dating profile lol

Audi is a sweet boy who seems potty trained, and crate trained although he doesn't love being in the crate if he can see you. He goes straight in the crate with no issues. He loves treats and walks on a leash like a dream. He loves to play, but isn't quite sure about toys yet. He rides OK in the car as soon as he settles down. He seems uninterested in cats and fine with other dogs. he loves people and will do fine with kids as long as you remember he is a boxer puppy and has no personal space. He is 2 and is deaf but is super sweet! He has come out of his shell but it's taken some time for him to let his hair down. He's initially scared of everything and every movement, but is now an old pro.it might take longer in your house with your movements and arrangement. He is potty trained and crate trained. He was fighting with a sibling and was surrendered due to the injuries. He is learning sign, and is excelling on the leash. He's so soft and very loving. We are training wait and come with signs, he's catching. We had him on a lead at first to encourage recall and will continue to work on it. 🐾

He was a scuffed up, skinny and wormy stray when he was found by the surrender. They put in the work and started getting him healthy. He is super sweet and playful but reserved due to whatever unknowns he went through previously. He is crate trained and very consistent on potty training but not perfect yet. He's learning a lot at his Foster's house and gaining confidence daily. He gets along with others and is a great family dog although he is all puppy. Chance es un dulce corazón de 2 años. Le encanta jugar y correr. Se lleva bien con otros perros, pero todavía es joven y puede ser un poco demasiado bullicioso para algunos. Le encantan los niños. Chance is a 2 year old sweet heart. He loves to play and run. He gets along with other dogs but he's still young and can be a little too rambunctious for some. He loves kids. He hates cats. He's terrified of water. His favorite thing is air-conditioning. He fakes beeing asleep so he doesn't have to go outside. He's crate trained and rides well in cars. Especially if he's going for a pup cup. He would make the perfect addition to any home.
Today was a great day! What a perfect home for this perfect boy! We love it when it all comes together! These two have adopted several from us! We truly love the customer/now friend satisfaction! Go live your best life big headed boy! My Oklahoma town litter baby Winston (Boley Cato) just got a new little big brother! They are already having a blast. Love both of you boys💋

Todays dog of the day is 2yo Bruno Bueno
This giant headed big baby wants nothing more to be in your shadow. He goes right in a crate but would rather be with you 24/7. He walks on a leash like a pro and is completely potty trained. He is scared of everything, chooses a person (me of course) and likes women more than men for sure. He's very active once he lets his guard down and stops shaking. He'd do well with a family that's home a lot, or that can go with you. He road great in the car but was very nervous because the last 3 car rides he had have not been pleasant. Once to the evaluation, once to the new foster and finally to the vet for his fixing. He was surrendered for turning on another older pack mate, the he was raised with but both were unaltered.
Bruno is very timid for a giant. Funny/sad story. Right now he doesn't recall so he is tied to a rope so we can catch him. He wrapped the rope around a bucket and the buck drug in my porch, which has a texture, the noise scared him so bad that he did these weird jerky circles but it was so fast before i could get to him he was completely wrapped up in the rope. The motions were amazingly quick and agile.
I feel like with the about a fear he has that kids 5 and under would not be a good fit if they aren't used to boxer movements. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body so I'm not afraid of the kids getting hurt I'm afraid of him being scared, aka giant baby. He actually loves kids and my 8yo neighbor. He plays really well with her and he doesn't pull her when she walks him. He loves those horrible chickens and pigs that sound like they are dying when they are squeezed lol. He is the sweetest boy with the most loving gaze.

Looking for specific donations
1) We need 2 radios for our outdoor kennels and 2 indoor radios for our indoor kennels, 4in all. We have two homes with this set up. We aren't looking for brand new we just need them to work. The two I have, that just died, have tape decks so that's how picky we are on the radios. The antenna broke off and barely gets a channel and the speakers blew out so on max volume you can barely hear. We like the dogs to have radio or tv going to keep them company. Also this is a fireworks distractor when they work. Just sucky timing on them biting it around July4th!
2) specifically VIVA SIGNATURE CLOTH paper towels. not all paper towels are created equally! These help us keep our places looking great and pick up waste 💩 without it coming through on our hands 🤢 It really does use less and work better.
3) Antibacterial fabuloso for cleaning and disinfecting the surfaces with that invigorating smell. I love this smell and feel like it really cleans inside and out.

$100 of Mavericks adoption fee was donated so his adoption fee is only $75 that's worth celebrating! The other 3 are not sponsored but are also utd on shots, fixed, heartworm tested, microchipped, treated for worms, treated heartworms, and treated for flea and tick for each month they've been with us, which has been several months $$$. We are also paying for Susie Glass's heartworm treatment because she's positive for heartworms. All of these costs are what the adoption fees cover not to mention room and board so we are already in the red on most of these babies.

ADOPTABLE Today's dog of the day is 1-2 year old Roman Anthony Shhhhhhh he thinks he's a full blood boxer and would even tell you that, since Red Dirt is who took him in. Of course, since he's out of ear shot, we can tell you he's actually a full blood Doberman Pincher, who is the gorgeous color of Isabella fawn. This striking boy came in a hot mess off the streets, and was returned twice to this caring lady who rescued him. She was desperate to find him the right home and was asking rescues for help. I have been drawn to the breed since I was a kid and thought, well we have a spot so why not... That's when the weather changed and it started raining boxers! We were full over night and in a breed specific boxer rescue poor Roman kept getting overlooked. That wasn't a problem because we were able to get him a spot in the Mable Basset Prison Trainjng program! Yup he wore orange, but went through the training and went directly into an adopters home!! He got along really well with his new Husky sister but his roommates golden retriever was not having him and so he was returned. The new owner didn't want to surrender him but was unable to stay in his place if he kept Roman. He is completely vetted, HW negative, chipped, wormed, on prevention, now trained up by the prison training program and is ready to stay in his next home forever! He is very quirky and hilarious. He shows his teeth, AKA SMILES, in agreement or disagreement or when he's super excited. He loves toys, and has absolutely no idea of his size. He also loves to have your hand in his mouth which is from the heart but sometimes freaks people out. If you know it's part of him you know it's nothing but an attempt to hold your hand. He is great with kids, although as I said he doesn't know his size so at least 6yo or older kids would be best. He has been cat tested and dog tested and does fine with both, but again he comes of strong really sticking his nose where the sun doesn't shine and some dogs don't a

Well with just 3 volunteers we worked and reworked the outer walls so that we can get electricity done by Atlas Electric! We still have more work to do but are getting it done! Trapper was trapped in Talahina Ok. We have got him healthy enough for a surgeon to take a look. The CT scan will be $2600-$3600 to determine if he would benefit from the surgery which will be $6500-$10,000. He's only around year old so we are confident that he will... only the CT will tell the extent.
