🐾 DOG OF THE DAY 🐾
❤️ Meet Crimson Tide ❤️
📍 4-year-old Boxer DOB 11/21
Crimson Tide came to us from a home where he lived with multiple male dogs. After years together, Crimson decided he no longer wanted to be #2 or #3—he wanted to be the man of the house. Because of this, he would do best as an only dog or with careful introductions to a non dominant female and careful management.
🐱 Cats:
He’s officially unknown with cats. He was never exposed before, and honestly… we can’t tell if he’s overly interested or absolutely terrified. For example, when my cat walked up to him yesterday, Crimson reacted like he had spontaneously caught on fire 😅—so we’re calling this one undetermined.
🏡 The Good Stuff:
✔️ Potty trained
✔️ Crate trained doesn't like it
✔️ Rides in the car like a champ
✔️ Loves sleeping in the bed and snuggling on the couch
✔️ Certified Stage 3 Clinger (once he bonds)
⚠️ Important Personality Note:
Crimson is slow to warm up to new people and can be a bit standoffish at first. He doesn’t make the best first impression—but once he decides you’re his person, he is ALL IN. Loyal, attached, and very much a “my human” kind of dog.
Crimson is about 80 pounds of enthusiasm and doesn’t quite realize his size yet. When excited, he jumps like a kangaroo and occasionally uses your body as a parkour wall—so he would do best with older kids. We’re actively working on his manners (jumping specifically) and leash skills, and he’s already making great progress staying beside me without pulling. 🙌
Because he bonds deeply and tends toward clingeritis, Crimson would do best in a home where someone is around more often—work from home, retired, or stay-at-home humans would be ideal. He’s only been with us a few days and is still settling in, but once he chooses you, he wants to be touching you at all times.
If you’re patient, understanding, and looking for a devoted Boxer who just needs a little time to trust, Crimson Tide could be your perfect match. ❤️
