Please note, I have updated Loving Kindness Grooming Customer Policies regarding no show/no call/last minute cancellations.
-Payments are to be presented promptly after the groom. I accept cash and checks made payable to Loving Kindness Grooming. Returned checks will be subject to a $25 fee on top of the check amount. I do not accept credit cards or e-payment. To adjust for inflation, you can expect your grooming price to go up $1-4 a year depending on the size of your dog and the cost of your preferred products. These increases will happen at the beginning of each year.
- Please pick your pet up promptly after I alert you they're done (within 30 min) unless we have made prior arrangements. This is to reduce stress for your pet as well as to prevent congestion in the shop. I will give you a specific pick up time at drop off or notify you 15 minutes ahead of your pet being done. Please do not come in to check that your pet is done if I have not called, messaged, or told you a time to return as this creates "the wiggles" and can make it very hard to finish your pet's groom safely and well. Texting is best if you need to, and I will respond as soon as I can; I keep my phone handy.
- If your pet is matted, I may have to take their hair shorter than you'd like. Brushing out a matted coat can be painful and traumatizing and that's not why I'm here. I will however gladly go over brushes and brushing techniques with you, and get you on a grooming schedule that works for you and your pet to maintain the coat you desire.
-If you need to cancel, call or text as soon as you can so that I can fill your cancellation. I only get paid if you show up and if I give you another spot, someone else doesn't get one. First no call/no show/ last minute cancellation will be a 50% fee due at next service. Second will be a 75% fee due before next service is scheduled. Third will require you to find a new groomer. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.
- Please be on time! 10 minutes late is 10 minutes I have to make up before my next client or cut into their scheduled time. More than 15 minutes late will be considered a last minute cancellation, and you will be obligated to reschedule. Very few groomers work each dog straight thru; please respect the process and the time I need with your pet as well as other's pet's time with me, thank you!
-Pre-booking your next appointment is recommended in order to reserve a space that works for you and to keep your pet's grooming on track. If you choose not to pre-book, please call at least 2 weeks ahead in order to reserve a time that works best for you.
