Handling and body conditioning!
Sue did so good and thought threw everything!
Whoever gets this mare is gonna be soooo lucky! Come by and see us tomorrow!
Unfortunately getting on Sue again will have to wait at least a week 😕
I took a flying lesson last night from a big 3 year old on her 6th ride and the landing portion was not included. I landed hard on my hip and walking feels like my leg is gonna snap. Went to the doctor and they said there is no obvious break but there could be a micro fracture and if it doesn't start to feel better by tomorrow night I have to go back for a CT. I also may have a hematoma so I am only aloud to take Tylenol.
I will continue to do some light work on the ground with Sue, but hopefully she is a quick study once I get back on because we know have 40 days until competition.
Here's a video of her loving her massage on Wed
I don't have any pictures but on Tuesday, I sat on Sue for the first time! She did so well and even though she was nervous she stayed calm!
Tonight I am just laying across her back at the mounting block since there is nobody out here to make sure it goes well. Here's a video of her checking me out calmly!
I will do this at least one more time of just sitting on her until she relaxes then if that goes well, I will start asking her to step with help
