Meet Nilla!!

Nilla is a 4-pound, 4-year-old toy poodle with a heart as sweet as her name, named after vanilla ice cream. This tiny, affectionate girl is the perfect blend of calm and cuddly—she loves being cradled like a baby and filling laps with her gentle presence.

Nilla is a fan of long car rides and leisurely leash walks, making her a wonderful companion for both adventures and quiet moments at home. Nilla adores children of all ages and gets along beautifully with adults, too. She would thrive in a home where her humans are around most of the time, or with someone who’s looking for a little shadow to take along wherever they go.

While she prefers slow introductions to other dogs, Nilla does well with respectful canine companions, regardless of their size. She’d also be just as happy being your one and only as she is sharing her home with another furry friend.

This well-mannered girl is crate-trained, potty-trained, and ready to settle into her forever home. Nilla was surrendered by a commercial breeder, and she’s in excellent health—spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She requires regular grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep her looking her best.

Update: A home has been found!

Foster needed ASAP. This beautiful, adolescent, female cat turned up on the doorstep of a customer on Sunday. She is currently living on their porch. Their dogs have proven that they are not good cat companions. They have tried everything. Rescues are full.

I held this adorable girl today, and she just purred nonstop. She is absolutely lovely. They call her Tnkerbell. I think she must have sprinkled a little fairy dust because she's easy to fall in love with.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER…this Saturday is our low cost vaccine clinic. Registration begins at 8:30am and is on a first come, first served basis. Happy National Dog Day! Dear Darcy is our family's last remaining dog. At 15, she is enjoying the quiet life without her three late chihuahua siblings. We couldn't ask for a sweeter girl.

The other day, Cora had to come to work with me, and she began making pet rocks. I was so busy that I didn't realize she was creating them to sell. Later in the day, she was disappointed that none had sold. Today, I found this little sign she made, which was under some papers, and put them out. One of them went to her forever home right away. ❤️ 🪨

We are grateful for some much needed rain last night and through the weekend.

Unfortunately, it postponed our National Night Out event to next Tuesday, August 13th. We hope you can join us that night, at South Hanover Township Parks and Recreation Patriot Park. It's a fun night for all ages!!

UPDATE 7/26
We've noticed that this duo isn't exactly bonded. They don't pay much attention to each other at all, in fact. So, we've decided that they don't necessarily need to be adopted together, though we would prefer it. Ira should ultimately go to a home with no other pets. He's fine with Emma but he's got issues with resource guarding.

We are fostering two dear doxies. Emma (11- short coat) and Ira (9- long coat). After their owner passed away unexpectedly, the extended family needed help finding them a home.

Emma is a free spirit, likely a rugby player in a former life. She absolutely adores our 7 year old kiddo. Ira is attached at our hips.

Both pups love toys, walks, and especially food! They also want to sleep with their humans. They would do best in a home where someone is around a lot. A LOT. They also travel well and would love to go on adventures with you.

Our timid cats are hiding but the dogs don't bother brave cats who know how to own the room. If you have a cat that is fearful, you may never see them again. (I forgot how many we actually have.)

Don't let their ages fool you. Emma and Ira are full of energy and s***k. Their short legs take them from docile doxies to fast and furious in under 4 seconds. (Calming chews will be provided to adopters free of charge.)

Urgent: Foster or adopter needed.

We are helping find a home for two sweet older dachunds. Their wonderful owner just died of cancer. They are currently staying alone in their home with caretakers visiting. Emma and Ira are around 12 years old, and I'm sure they are confused and missing their dad. They need to be adopted together. We don't have much information but will provide what we we can when the family learns more.
