Our lovely Mia came in for a creative colour on Monday

Her little girl requested a 🦄 Unicorn Dog 🦄 and Riley made it happen!
Pastels are In!

Mia is a patient girl and did absolutely wonderful for the colour process. Colour appointments take quite a bit longer than regular grooming appointments to allow the colour to process. Not every dog is going to be a candidate for Creative Colour or Creative Grooming, it's best to do a consult with your groomer if you're thinking about a fun new colour for your pet.

Colours are pet safe and temporary but should not be attempted at home!

Did you know Creative Colour is an option at ULTAmutt? We only use dye that is safe for pets to ensure that it doesn't hurt them. At ULTAmutt we abide greatly by the phrase "Humanity before Vanity" as your pet's health matters to us.

Interested? Discuss with your groomer if your dog is a good candidate for a creative colour!

*creative grooming appointments will always take longer than a standard appointment, especially when there is dye involved, sometimes this is even a multiple appointment process depending on the extent of the requested service. This is why we recommend having your pets professionally groomed regularly. Depending on your dog's length of fur, coat type and your brushing routine, that could be anywhere between every 2 weeks to every 8 weeks. We typically will not recommend any dog go longer than 8 weeks.

Please do not cut mats out of your dog's hair it could be as dangerous as losing a limb, if not their life. Call us and we will help you! Even for a professional, cutting mats out with scissors is extremely dangerous, that's why we don't do it and will shave them out (again, just because we do it - doesn't mean that you should try it at home).

If you would like us to show you the proper brushing techniques and product recommendations for in between grooms to keep your pet's hair mat free, let us know. We are always happy to help!

Dear Customers-

The Governor has extended the Stay at Home Executive Order 2020-42 shutting down all non-essential businesses through April 30 @ 11:59pm. The Governor clarified language in this order- grooming, boarding, daycare and training are non-essential. Therefore, I am so sorry to tell you, unless you are notified differently, all appointments on ULTAmutt's schedule are postponed until further notice up to and including April 30th.

The first few weeks of May will be a very, very busy time. In an attempt to service ALL of our clients, we will be extending our hours throughout the week, as well as the weekends. To secure a timely appointment, we are currently accepting prepaid requests for May 1st, and thereafter. To book, please call us at (586)790-3860. We check and return messages often!!! All payments MUST be made electronically!

Please be assured that I am as anxious to reopen and care for your dog when you do come back! If lack of grooming causes a medical emergency, DON'T HESITATE to call your vet!!! They can not provide routine service, but rather emergency, life threatening services. I will keep you posted if anything changes. PLEASE, STAY SAFE! Stay in if you can, and if there is something I can help with, let me know!
