• They puff up their ‘beard’ if they’re not in a good mood, it’s actually why they’re called bearded dragons!🐲
• They can get up to 2 feet long📏
• They can run on just their hind legs😯 if they run on all fours, they can go 9 mph!

~Waxworms are a great treat for Leopard Geckos and other insectivores! 🦎 They are high in fat and can also be used for malnourished pets if you're having problems keeping weight on your lizards!

As a pet care associate, you will be the first face a guest sees. You will need to be able to welcome each person, run the register, and give them a great experience while in our store. You must be able to keep the store as neat and presentable as possible. You will be responsible for restocking items and rotating perishable goods as needed.
Most importantly, you will be responsible for the well-being of our animals. You will have to feed, water, and clean up as each pet requires. You CANNOT be afraid of snakes, lizards, rats, worms, roaches, or any other animal we have housed here. As we grow, some responsibilities may be added.
Our hours are 10am - 5pm, this will be weekends only, Saturday and Sunday! There will be paid on the job training and a raise possible after the probationary period once you become proficient. Please apply here through Facebook and we will be in touch!

Due to the slick roadways from the ice, the Harrison Police Department is receiving calls of service for vehicles sliding and unable to maintain control on the roadway. The HPD encourages you to stay home if possible and if you have to drive, use extreme caution and plan accordingly.

• A crested gecko can’t regrow their tail if they drop it, and one without a tail is known as a frogbutt🐸🫢

Our ball pythons are so active once the lights go out!

Fun 🐍 facts:
• Another name for them is royal pythons. Supposedly bc Africa chieftains wear living snakes as jewelry!
• They can live 30 years, the oldest know living ball is more than 62🫣
• Some people believe they can catch fish🐟 since they love water sources!

Green anole dinner time🦗

Some facts about these guys:
• They also change colors to brown, yellow, or grey, depending on their mood or temperature!
• Like other lizards, they can drop their tails as a defensive mechanism😮
• Males have a reddish flap of skin under thei chin called a dewlap.

We’ve got a super chill Pink Belly Turtle🐢

Interesting facts:
• They can live 50 years!
• They don’t reach maturity for 12 years!!😮
• They’re also called the “painted terrapin” thanks to their coloring!

He’s so cool and gorgeous. If you look into his tank from the top, sometimes he’ll bite at the water surface a few times and look at you! Come see him and his tank mate the African Side-Neck Turtle!🤗

We’ve got the geckos!!
We have juvenile and adult leopard geckos!🦎

Fun facts:
• Leopard geckos don’t have toe pads like most geckos, so they can’t climb up smooth surfaces!
• They shed their skin to prevent their scent from being detected👃 and they eat it😅
• They can live up to 20 years and change colors as they age!!
