Rescues! When giving a 2nd chance to a dog in need, the easiest part of the entire journey is saying "I choose you". From there, the work begins.

Remember the rule of 3: 3 days of high stress to new environment (give them space to decompress), following 3 weeks is learning routines and behaviors (allowed/not allowed) training is crucial during this time, and 3 months to begin to fully adjust/accept new home.

EVERY interaction is teaching them something, positive or negative. You have to become the leader they need so they may thrive in your home.

Reminder of policy!
1- All pups must have proof of up-to-date vaccinations upon scheduling. (Rabies, kennel cough, parvovirus, and annual core vaccinations) Shots take 2 weeks to fully take effect, shots must be given minimum 2 weeks prior to drop off.

2- All pups will provide their own food. If they do not, there will be an additional daily fee.

3- 50% of total will be collected upon booking, non re-fundable.

4- Drop off and pick ups MUST be scheduled!

If you're willing to put in the time and effort, savor the highs of them understanding, be patient during the learning period, you will end up with one of the greatest companions of your life. The bond between a human and dog is so incredible that it can only be a gift from God.

Here are a few things to ask yourself before adding a furbaby to your family:

1) How much free time do you have to designate to the new addition?

No matter the age, all dogs require time to adjust and teach them your rules, boundaries and limitations.

2) What lifestyle do you live? (Not what you WANT to live, but DO live!)

If you enjoy slow days of reading or binge watching your favorite shows then a low energy breed (Bassett hound, English bulldog, French Bulldog, Saint Bernard and a host of different breeds) is for you!

If you love hiking and being active then a high energy or working breed (German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Jack Russell Terrier and a variety of high spirited breeds) is for you!

Have Allergies or don't enjoy hair on your black clothes? Anything mixed with a poodle!

3) What are your future plans?

Adding a dog to your family is a lifetime commitment. For the next 8-18 years, depending on the breed, you are committing to be responsible for another's life.

4) Do you have the financial abilities to care for a dog?

Food, vet visits (at the very least yearly shots), if needed/wanted training, grooming, extra cleaning supplies, and of course lots and lots of toys!

One of Gods miracles

So...One of our boys has sheep. One of his ewes had triplets and is not taking all her lambs. So...bottle feeding has added to the training! Here's Maggie's introduction. Lol our full house just got fuller!!

The walk is all about positioning. Sniffing and going where they want is the REWARD for walking correctly. You dont want the walk to be stressful or be pulled everywhere, YOU need to enjoy taking them as much as they enjoy going!

Not my best idea, I can finally feel my hands again! Note to self, put gloves in vehicle when I leave! 🤣

Please excuse me, was not planning a video! 🤣 mental and physical energy must be used to have a calm dog! How do you expel energy from your pups?!

Good freezing snowy morning!! Cold air equals excited pups! We've been gone for a few days for our kids' archery tourney and it shows! Like everything in life if it's not done daily it starts to slack. Wyatt, blue healer, is our alpha, but he is also the most excited so he has to go last once he calmed down a bit. Is all of your family involved? Do you reward excitement?

Miss Pearl came to me last week, and oh my...she is the sweetest! We worked on insecurities and basic obedience. I cannot wait for her to come back spring break week to finish her training. Hopefully Mother Nature will be more accomadating! 🤣😂

Some of our basics, he was eager to please tonight!

Today we have hit huge milestones! Arky has learned how to play! His first play was after our walk this morning but of course I didn't have my phone to record! He has come such a long way in 2 days, from being scared of everything and not knowing how to be a dog, To playing, walking on leash correctly, and learning basic obedience in English and Spanish! Few more days and this boy will be ready to go home!
