Join us in wishing a very happy retirement to our thrift store manager, Ms. Kay! During her 14 years at the Cause for Paws Thrift Store, Kay worked tirelessly to grow the store into the financial backbone of OHS. The thrift store provides the vast majority of the funding to run the OHS organization and shelter, and thanks to Kay, our thrift store has consistently grown under her leadership. Cause for Paws was named the best thrift store in the area, no doubt due to the dedication of Kay. She is known for being the queen of all the random and miscellaneous items that come through the store. Even with the countless hours she worked, Kay always cheerfully greeted everyone who walked in the door of the store. She never hesitated to go above and beyond to help with the many tasks asked of her over the years. While we will miss Kay immensely, we want to congratulate her on a well-deserved retirement and thank her for her many years of dedication to OHS! Congratulations, Kay!

We could not wait to share with you that Lemon, our wonderful Lab mix dog was adopted yesterday! Lemon has endured a very difficult time this year, being dumped in Harrison and then being diagnosed with heart worm when brought to our shelter.
