Sylvester is just the biggest love bug!
Happy #freakyfriday y’all! Today, we’re talking 𝙏𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙨! The video shows a stool sample with a very active tapeworm segment that was so kindly deposited on our lobby floor 💩😂Tapeworms are most commonly contracted in dogs and cats by ingesting a flea or from eating rodents found outside that contain tapeworm larvae. This is why flea preventatives are so important! Tapeworms are a segmented worm, where each segment of the worm can break off and is often seen in your pets stool as a “grain of rice.” These segments contain many many tapeworm eggs. Once this is ingested, the eggs will hatch and the lifecycle will continue - think about a cat who shared a litter box with a tapeworm positive cat, cats will groom themselves after using the litter box, such a perfect opportunity for that kitty to ingest a segment! And think about that puppy who loves to stick it’s nose in other dogs’ poo! Yuck!! The good news is that tapeworms are treatable and preventable! Phew! Stop by or give us a call to learn more about how to prevent tapeworms in your furbabies.
It's Treatment Thursday!

Happy Microscope Monday Friends! 🔬🦠
We have for you today a pretty cool view of a lipoma! Lipomas are almost always benign fatty growths. You can see from the microscope view that it almost looks like a bunch of bubbles of fat, well that’s because it is! It is a pretty cool thing to witness on the microscopic level! #microscopemonday
The long awaited goat surgery update is here! Surgery went swimmingly and the goat is recovering just fine at home! 🐐
