It has been a difficult week on the Farm. Last Tuesday we lost our patriarch, father, owner of the Farm and our rock, Willard Kirk Horner.
He passed away on the farm, the only home he ever knew, with his children present. He dedicated his life to his farm, family, country and community.

Our current equestrian business would not have started 20 years ago without his help, guidance and unwavering support.

He lived and worked his entire life on the Horner Dairy Farm, (Fertile Green Stock Farm), which has been in the family for over 150 years. He gave back to his community in so many ways. He was a lifelong member of Harrisonville Fire company, Ruritan, and Grange to name a few.
After retiring, he helped make his granddaughters dream come true by transitioning the family dairy business into an equestrian farm. He was an integral part in building everything we have, and everything we do today. From the horse boarding, horse shows and lessons to summer camps, birthday parties and events, he welcomed it all. He quietly loved all the activity and all the people he met through the years. On a warm day you’d see him sitting outside the farmhouse enjoying it all.

👉🏻***On May 17th, 11am-1pm, we will have an old fashion open house/visitation at the farmhouse to celebrate his life and legacy.

Our farm and family will never be the same without him, but we hope he’s sitting in the sun and watching over us all. ❤️🙏🏻🌞
