So proud of my little monsters. Not only did they show well last weekend, but Severus now also has his CCG (Canine Good Citizen) and his DCAT (FastCAT Title) and Lily now has her CGCA (Advanced Canine Good Citizen) and today she also got her DCAT title! Once results are posted online and updated, Severus will be ranked nationally as the 2nd fastest Cairn Terrier (up from #3) and Lily will be ranked 9th in the country. If it holds, Severus will be invited to the FastCAT National Championship next year! His average speed based on his top 3 runs is now 22.15 mph!!

I couldn't resist buying these pictures from the FastCATs from Brooksville, FL from a couple of weeks ago. The photographer (Blue Dog Photography) did a great job capturing Severus (and Lily! - the first 2 photos are her, the rest are of Sevvy). They also had been groomed for the show so they looked great too!! Cairns

Castlerock Severus Snape's Quest for Love out of GCHS CH Kaatskill's Top Flight (Brady - a sweet and handsome dog) and Castlerock Peppermint Patti (Patti - the sweetest girl ever) won a major championship show today for the Cairn Terrier Specialty show with Tampa Bay Kennel Club and the Central Florida Cairn Terrier Club at the Brooksville, FL cluster of shows going on right now under Judge Charles Olvis. He got winners (best) dog in Cairns, 4 point major win. Did not win best of breed, but he was the best dog out of all the non-champion dogs entered, and on his way to a championship himself one day. In addition, he, and his sister Lily, succesfully ran some Fast Cat legs, one of which Severus was timed at 9.44 seconds, meaning he ran in excess of 21.5 MPH. To say we are proud of him is an understatement. He got fed a freshly cooked lamb dinner when he got home! Congratulations to us, to Arlene Grant, breeder, and owner of Patti and Joyce A. Adams-Taylor, breeder, and owner of Brady and Rita Insogna co-owner with us of Severus!

Congratulations to Castlerock Queen Lily of the Valley, CGC, TKN for getting her Trick Dog Novice Title and Canine Good Citizen Title yesterday. This 18 month old beautiful, sweet and smart little girlie (sassy too!) continues to amaze me.
