Just Snowy Oaks Bryson got to hunt the last day of ruffed grouse season here in Michigan today. We covered a couple of miles, but no birds were seen. Unfortunately, both Willow Hills Anniken and Herz und Seele’s Susanna decided to go into heat over the last couple of days. This is one major benefit about having a neutered male for our kennel….no worries ever about not being able to hunt due to a heat cycle!
11.5” of glorious snow last week over the course of two days, and now less than a week later we are back down to dirt and mud 😢

These puppies on this litter show no fear of water. Of course, it helps having littermate encouragement, a beautiful summer day, mom present, and getting loved on by kids after swimming. ❤️

There were five chukars in the box, and this was the pup’s first intro to live birds. The reactions are always interesting!
