We've reached the end of the year which means I've got 5 years of grooming under my belt. I'm still learning every day and striving to improve whether it's my skills or the business side of things. Doing this alone and with no guidance from those who have done this longer than I have is really difficult at times which makes the appreciation for my clients huge. Without your grace I don't know how I could keep going. I'm a wife, a mom to 4 busy kids, a dog groomer, and business owner. There's never any time off and I do make mistakes so thank you all for always working with me when things go off track. It's because of you all that I have the best job.

With that being said for 2025 I am making a few changes. My pricing will stay the same for now. I hope to continue to offer top quality baths and haircuts for your pets and still remain affordable. However, I will be strictly enforcing my cancelation policy. 2024 left me with a lot of time to reflect on this. I am an understanding person as I have to move my schedule around often whether it be to accommodate sick kids or caring for my disabled dad, you name it. I get that things come up. I still have to be paid for my time though. With such a large clientele it's not often that I have much of a cancelation list which means that when I get a cancelation I rarely have been able to fill those spots in time to still have income.

The most common reason for being canceled on is work schedules. I get that you have to work and hope that you understand that I have to as well. For 2025 my new policy will be that I need at minimum 72 hours notice of needing to cancel and/or reschedule. I have changed my reminders to be sent out 5 days before for confirmation and 24 hours before as an appointment reminder. This is a service I pay for to help both of us in the long run. If I'm given less than 72 hours, 50% of the groom you had scheduled will be due before I can keep your dog on my schedule. To be paid within 2 weeks, otherwise I will have to open those spots back up. If I'm given only 24 hours or less then 100% will be due.

I know this was long winded but this is the easiest way to explain things so the majority of everyone sees it. For those times when I have to move things on my end I will continue to do as I have done in the past. And to those who cancel and immediately ask how they can pay me for my time without me having to ask, thank you. That is appreciated more than you know.
