It's been a while since I've posted. My heart still hurts and misses Kimber and Sophia greatly. But we have been doing the best we can to live up to the promise I made Kimber. I made the promise to take care of her sissy (Lexi). Lexi was extremely depressed after her accident and then the loss of her BFF which is one of the reasons we got into fostering. And through fostering lexi has done what she does best.... teach and comfort. Auntie Lexi has helped over 40 dogs learn to play, relax and trust. We started taking her to some of the rescue events and she absolutely loves it. Just wanted to keep everyone updated on Lexi as she has always been a big part of our adventures.
** hoping to add another houla to our chaos when we find the right one 😉

When Kimber came into our lives it's like a missing piece had been found. Lexi and her instantly bonded. It was amazing to watch those two get into shenanigans together, snuggle, bird watch in the afternoons, wrestle non-stop, and be an amazing momma/auntie duo for a litter of puppies. Josh, myself, and our kids fell in love with the sassy, spunky, sweet pup that grew into the queen of our house. Never did we imagine not getting to watching her grow old and mayyyybe slow down. She was my best friend. It has been one year today since I last got a Kimber kiss or get to look into those pretty eyes. I miss stroking her velvety ears and tucking her in with her blanket (such a diva). I miss her happy feet when it was meal time and her laying her head on my shoulder to watch videos with me. I miss her so much every single day. If you have one of her puppies give them a big kiss from me and enjoy them every day. I am so glad we were able to share our Kimber with all of you.

So our one foster became two. Seeing them in person not convinced they are houla mix girls but still extremely cute.

This Wednesday we get our new foster Lila. Im waiting to see her in person to get a better idea if she may be catahoula mix. Chances are high as she's coming up from the south... we are so excited 😁! Be prepared for pictures 😉📷

Since the loss of Kimber we have been doing fostering dogs through a German Shepherd Rescue. It has truly been a blessing to save so many dogs. As I am always excited for each pup that comes into our home ( we've had a bunch. A Wiemaraner/hound mix, Anatolian Shepherd, Husky mix, and a pit bull mix just to name a few) our next foster coming up I'm thinking could be catahoula mix. 🤷‍♀️ What do you guys think?

Wanted to share. One of our pups (Athena) had a DNA test done. And as expected came back 100% catahoula. 🩷

Soldier is one of our boys from Kimber and Boone. He is just over a year old, not neuter, and utd on vaccinations. His family said "He's such a loving boy. He loves playing with other dogs and is amazing with kids. He has so much energy but loves to take naps and snuggle". His momma and kids are trying to find themselves a new home and need somewhere for him to stay in the meantime. Not sure how long it will be. Would anyone like to have this handsome boy stay with them for a while?

Update on Sophia: currently at the Emergency Room as she can not keep any liquid down and is declining rapidly. We appreciate any help you guys are able to offer

Sophia is back with us (permanently)... we are still trying to figure out what is going on with her and a treatment plan. For now she is getting LOTS of love ❤️ **at this time we are still thinking Hysto or Blasto

One of our pups is not doing well. Sophia has developed lumps and swelling. Her family is waiting on test results to come back but in the meantime the medical bills are adding up fast. Anyone that is will to help with vet costs please message me ASAP. This is potentially life threatening and is urgent. We need to get her taken care of.
