We do our best to keep our pups comfortable and kennel-free. It definitely poses challenges but as long as each dog behaves, they get to hang out with the pack. Most of these dogs have been together for months and do really well. Like clockwork, most always take a mid-morning snooze after breakfast while Rudy serenades them with his barking.

Gemma has had some setbacks in her manners and social etiquette recently getting into spats with a couple other dogs. Perhaps itā€™s the full moon or cold weather but we have made the determination that she has a hard time playing with others. While it does seem to be certain dogs she doesnā€™t care for, mostly females of similar sizes, itā€™s in her best interest to be in an only-dog household. She does fine with cats and is house-trained as well as kennel. This is rather heartbreaking as she had a family lined up but they have other fur babies and we donā€™t want to put them at risk. So, Gemma is available for adoption again.

Sisu is just as bummed as we are that we didnā€™t adopt any pups out today. He had to get his emotional support dogs for help. PSA: Stop dumping animals in our communities. I was driving back home this morning to greeted by these three. Dumping them in front of our house doesnā€™t mean we suddenly generate more space and resources. Also, the reason you wonā€™t find our address is because of the fact that this is also my home and itā€™s where I raise my kids. If I catch you on my cameras dumping animals I will pursue charges. We are already taxed as shelters. I realize that this message isnā€™t for most of you but hopefully it permeates its way to the a-holes who canā€™t seem to handle their responsibilities.

This is how my morning starts with the kittens. Itā€™s like walking into a pool of piranhas.

Was grabbing some hay to fill the doghouses but the pack had other plans.

A glimpse into our nightly routine. Trust us, you can handle one more! šŸ˜†šŸ„¹

A nice couple came to meet Gemma today (yay šŸ™) and while they were visiting her, Ace just couldnā€™t help but squeeze out and come see his Momma. My fence has more holes than a block of Swiss cheese thanks to this turd but I didnā€™t mind seeing how happy they made each other.

Itā€™s not the prettiest addition but itā€™s functional. I threw a bunch of my own money in materials and have spent my free time this week converting a portion of my shop into an indoor/outdoor ā€œcatioā€. It needs some spit and polish but the new kitties are happy to be out of quarantine and into a larger space. We are running low on both dog and kitten dry food. Please consider purchasing a bag as it would be extremely appreciated. As always thank you for your support and patience. We will be closed this week for intakes and adoptions to attend some family business. We will let everyone know when we are back to normal.

Like Gemma, Darla is watching her puppies her puppies get adopted one-by-one. No one has expressed interest in her. This 100 lbs house hippo just wants to chill. She does well with dogs of all sizes but most of the time keeps to herself. Sheā€™s the first to greet me at morning and evening feeding and has such a calm, loving energy. All the dogs in this video are available for adoption. Message us for more information. Thank you for your support!

The sweetest ball of fluff we have just went home to his new family. So happy that he will be spoiled in his new life.

Not the most ideal solution but all the pups are safe. Roach was able to ride out the storm at a house, Rudy gets one workshop to himself, Darla and the pups get my workshop and Gemma gets to hang out with one of her pups we have inside. They will be safe for now.
