I am a balanced dog trainer who can help you work through most issues you're having with your pooch.

Finding distractions are a big deal. It's fine if your dog will sit and stay where he is in your living room where it's a static environment. We work on the dynamic stuff, tennis balls, Hobby Lobby, other dogs... I want your pup to listen to you even if someone else is making kissy noises at them.
This is Barley, putting up with yet another one of my shenanigans!!

Almost every pup gets their nails done while here. A good trim and well....
I'll let Basil and Brewer flaunt their stuff!

Once a pup has been through my program, only then will I board them. But then they go back into the heavy rules AND if there is something we are struggling with, I'll work on it. This is the ever-fantastic Chief, looking quite dapper and learning a new trick!!!

Saving fingers, toys and dropped steaks since 2013!!

Patience is a virtue. That must be acquired. :)

How to slow down a pup's eating. Or how to keep them occupied. How to make breakfast the most fun meal! ...mental exercises are probably even better than physical ones!!

Brewer is finishing up his board and train in just a few days! He now walks nicely on a leash (which is a great new skill!), waits patiently, knows what to leave alone with a bit of help, can stay in place even when the doorbell rings or food is dropped all around, and is just all around much less pushy.
I think his good behavior is really showing!!! :)

More and more distractions. The stranger, the better. And then we just keep adding them on.
Or bouncing them off in this case!

Service dogs get to learn weird stuff - like tucking between legs while in a busy store... here is one pup learning to do just that!!!

Practicing Place with ever bigger and louder distractions!!

The "high end" treats the pups get every time we are done with a session. I love giving my dogs treats, and I figure they just did some work so they should get a reward.
Remember, that's what I'm telling myself. :)
Also, if this could've been scratch-n-sniff, I would ask how many of you gagged a little. ;)

These are aimed at the dog with substantially more severe issues, including but not limited to:
- food and resource guarding
- separation anxiety
- severe fear issues
- reactivity on leash, etc.
Our program covers, what we would consider to be, all of your basic commands as well: Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, Place, Heel, Come/Recall - as well as Crate Training, Treadmill, Waiting for Food, and Waiting at Thresholds and Many More!
I work with a state-of-the-art, low-level communication-style E-Collar training. Now I know what you are thinking … “E” stands for Electric Shock!!! Well rest assured, this E-Collar program is like nothing you've ever seen and is NOTHING like the E-Collar training of old. I’ve even demonstrated on myself how this low level “Tens Machine” like device works without putting your dog at any kind of risk for injury! New Contemporary E-Collar Training utilizes THE softest, most GENTLE remote communication period. And the best part is, it’s considered one of the most humane and effective approaches to dog training! We have worked with all types of breeds, with all different levels of “difficulty” and the CECT is by far the most efficient and effective mode for successful retention of your dog’s training.
With that said, we can tell you, after a comfortable and fun training/boarding stay with “Oh My Dog Training”, your dog’s individual results will leave you speechless! We guarantee it!!
Thank you SO much for taking the time to look into making the quality of the relationship between you and your pet/partner in crime, the BEST that it can possibly be!
