Carnelian is quiet, beautiful girl who is a volunteer favorite. You can’t help but fall in love with her. It is sweet in the video (found in the comments) how when I stop petting her she inches in closer to make sure I continue. 🥰

Abita is a quiet, shy girl who has stolen the hearts of several volunteers. Inside she’ll do a happy dance to greet you. Outside she’s a little more hesitant at first but gradually feels more confident. She is comfortable with pets and cuddles. Abita has a gentle soul and with time will be an amazing new best friend.

Cumulus has been in her foster home for a month after some time at Fluffy Dog Rescue prior to being surrendered from a breeding farm. This 12 lb. girl thrives on a predictable routine which means she eats and sleeps like a champ, has fewer indoor potty accidents, and is more playful. Her ideal day is sticking close to her foster mom and taking potty breaks at frequent intervals plus a good daily walk. She quickly acclimated to a consistent bedtime routine and sleeping in her crate all night without a peep. She was hesitant on walks early on but now she looks forward to it and will spend most of her time smelling and marking her territory while vigorously kicking up grass and dirt. Her foster family is still working on potty training. Cumulus doesn't go to the door or bark when she needs to potty. Keeping an eye on her at all times and staying on an outdoor routine is key to reducing inside accidents. Cumulus is more and more playful every day. She will instigate playtime which involves zooming around until she's out of breath. Having a variety of chewing toys is key because she does seek out certain types of household items to chew on. Her favorite pastime continues to be cuddling and getting pets on her belly, back and behind her ears.

As time goes by she is getting more comfortable with kind people and her new found freedom. She is eager to get into a home and be loved and pampered.

Madrid (born 4/30/18) has been enjoying life in a foster home for a few months after six years as a mama in a mill. She is brave and sweet, high energy, loves a routine, loves being pet and will lick hands for attention. She likes walks and is great with house training but will still use a potty pad sometimes, especially if off her routine. She likes other dogs and cats, she would do well with another friendly higher energy dog and a fenced yard to run, but not escape- she is wiggly and fast! She is timid around new people and has recently found her voice, she doesn’t bark much. She sleeps on an ottoman, and she comes up to snuggle in bed for a few minutes every morning. She is fine in a crate if needed. The best part of Mardrid is you always know she’s happy by her super-speed wagging tail!

He’s READY!!!
Sir Lancelot is a charming male Bichon Frise who is on the lookout for his forever home. Sir Lancelot has been in a foster home since 9/20/24. At 5yrs old, this was his first experience living in a home and I am happy to say that he has transitioned to home life very well! It took about 1 week to adjust to all of the strange noises - the tv, doorbells, things falling, doors shutting, ect.. After about 2 weeks, we learned that he loves belly rubs and human attention! He does great with other dogs. He likes to go where you go, so if you get up and leave the room he's never too far behind. Lance is the most excited to greet you when you come home. If he can see you through the window first then he'll show off his impressive vertical jumps! He enjoys running around outside and preferably with a canine playmate.

Amelia was incredibly shy her first few days. By the end of day 2 though, she chose to lay near us on a blanket while we had Thanksgiving dinner. We had a friend for dinner who brought her dog along. I think it was really helpful for her to see the other dogs playing. She will grab a toy to chew on every so often, but mostly likes to observe play still. Day 3, she found out that she liked snuggling on the couch with the humans. Now she will regularly ask to come up on the couch if someone is there. She does not jump up (yet).

Amelia is sleeping well in her crate at night and is crated when we leave the house. She is slow to leave her crate in the morning and usually waits for the resident Boston to come coax her out.

House-training is still in progress but she is following our dogs’ leads. Not too many accidents. She is also getting more comfortable with a leash. She prefers to go out with the other dogs. She is still getting used to the doors, but has started standing on the side that opens. ??

Amelia is enjoying meeting family and friends. She is great with my teens, my husband and I. We all regularly get kisses after giving her lots of love and attention. We think she have lots of love to give to her new family.

Amelia does have bilateral luxating patellas (left 2/4, right 3/4) and joint supplements are recommended.

This sweet girl was recently released from a breeder. She is friendly, but will need extra time and patience, as she has never lived in a home. Please read our information on breeder releases before applying.
