Margo
Margo did a great job staying on “Place” even with all the excitement in the room!
Introducing puppy Peaches to the bird launcher! She has already been introduced to live birds and is highly driven for them, as you can see. We want to develop bold and confident bird dogs, so proper introduction to our training tools is important. First we let her check out the launcher, smell it, and hear the sound it makes. Then we start to associate birds (our favorite thing) with it. If we skipped introduction, and let her run up to it and launch it, there is a chance she could have a negative reaction and become shy of the launcher and maybe even birds. Never skip proper introductions in your training. It’s easier to properly introduce things than it is to overcome a shyness or build confidence after the fact. #gundogtraining #pointertraining #properintroduction #developingabirddog #llewellinsetter #settersofinstagram #birddogtraining #socializing #birddogoftheday
I’ll leave it to your imagination on how noisy it is over here today, but these kids make great distractions for practicing obedience!
